I have filed that post, and yes I hope I am right, it just wouldn"t make sense for Scancell to have done nothing since the approval in April, and that is why I think the dosing RNS and patient enrolment will be very soon. So what is the problem, why was the RNS such bad news. As I said to Bermuda we could well have been simply organising the start of the trial for 8 weeks and with the IND not being approved decided to go ahead here to stop any further delay. What is the problem? Why so disappointed with Scancell?

In fact, given the Approval was only granted in April, I will withdraw a couple of points I wanted to discuss with CH. Simply the answer will be since April we have been organising x y z, and at that point in the absence of the IND being approved we decided to start the U.K. arm without further delay.

Perhaps a few people considering this might feel somewhat less "disappointed" than they were/are.

Bermuda, as you know it was only back in April that we got the Approval for the U.K. arm. The big unknown to us is just how much work has been done during that time in relation to sites and patient enrolment. It wouldn"t surprise me to hear we have the scene set and patient enrolment has began some weeks ago to ensure a shortlist of suitable patients.

What I was trying to say before that going by a few peoples posts we would think Scancell could have began the U.K. arm many months ago and time has been lost. The truth is it was just in April we got the approval and it is very likely many of the items you have mentioned have been dealt with to ensure patient recruitment can go ahead as quickly as possible and with that the dosing.

Heid, fair point but we are talking about 6 patients here to start with, already being treated with Keytruda, so I don"t think the parameters are as complex as they can be.

The only reason I say dosing will be immediate is that with Stage 3/4 Melanoma the patients will have a short prognosis, perhaps 6 months to a year, so I think it is reasonable to say dosing will be as soon as a patient meets the criteria of the trial. Good to see you here.

Heid, just my opinion but I reckon at that time we were selecting suitable patients or had selected them, so the process of selection given patients are in stage 3/4 Melanoma and desperate for treatment means they would be treated at the first opportunity available.

A lot of discussion here on semantics, as I posted a week ago I do feel we will hear patients dosed if possible by the AGM on the 12th September. ATB

So even though I am not that happy we were never told we needed both trials to start together, it was only back in April that we got U.K. approval. Makes sense to me to wait a couple of months to make sure the IND wasn"t going to come quickly. Which is why we decided after just two months to withdraw the IND and re-apply in due course.

DA, a pretty comprehensive list, and TBH from experience of AGMs all those items could not be covered in the time allowed for Q&A. And then what about questions those of us attending might have to issues raised on the day??

Pretty much again from experience i could guess what the answers will be, but this is a very positive suggestion. As you cannot attend the AGM, unfortunately many have other commitments too, why not address those questions to CH, JC or RG in an e-mail and see what they have to say.

I personally feel only Ruck today has got it, but as you know a couple of those questions I posted about last night and today and said we all feel just about the same about the trial news, but very happy the trial has at last started. I also said I would ask a couple of those questions to CH at the AGM and perhaps to make use of the time allowed in the best way it might just be better to do it afterwards.

Another suggestion from somebody who enjoys a good relationship with them all is to begin by saying you are pleased the trial has started.............but!!! Just presenting that list is pretty confrontational IMHO.

Anyway, send an e-mail what do you have to lose?? At least it is your time and not the whole Q & A session that we get just once a year. There is a lot going on at Scancell which should be on our minds, not asking about NDAs, when we get a deal they will tell us, you want an update on Ichor?FDA? well CH has just said we will re apply in due course for the IND!!! So what news do you expect?? Think about buddy, we can all get emotional about issues, but every day?? especially with the trial underway.
