Im a new shareholder and wondering if there is anything we can do to avoid the Canadian tax aspect of the dividend?

The announcement says “ Shareholders outside of Canada should contact their respective brokers or registrar agents for the appropriate tax election forms regarding this dividend.”

What have each of you done?

when market realises this, we’ll be much higher than this price.

If we factor Central Block as making $12m per year, then simplistically it’s worth £55m market cap on its own on P/E 5. Or at least worth that in two years time when it’s paid all the debt back.

So everything else in TXP is in for free…

Your last post is understandable. For me, I don’t really care what the share price does short term. In fact, I’m happy that I can add at these prices. Please stay low another 6 months.

What I am not, as some might think is a blind ramper. I was disappointed with management last Monday, I posted my thoughts on discord, indeed I think I posted my email to management which did not make pretty reading.

However, the strategic direction is making a lot of sense to me. We have leverage, and can use this to our advantage.

Go and relisten to the presentation, listen from 50 mins for LNG discussion, listen to Q&A, a lot of things will make more sense. James Shipka had a brilliant role in giving us insights on the geology, the presentation may not have been prefect, but it was thought out better and much improved from before.

Look at the currency crisis in Trinidad, ask yourself does Trinidad need our gas and oil exports.

Ask yourself about the debt denominated in Trinidad, everything is coming together.

Friday RNS makes sense as management seemed too calm in their presentation, it was a blinder RNS.

Really? A business throwing off $1m cash (possibly more) per month is worthless?

I can tell you one thing, Central block is not worthless to us.

A business making $12m per year on a P/E of 10 is worth $120m, not the $23m we’re paying.

And those assets - have a remaining lifetime of 15 years, but will last a lot longer, as to quote TXP:

“Opportunity for Development: Touchstone has identified numerous infill well locations as well as a deeper Cretaceous prospect at Central block.”

These assets could well be still running in 25 years imho.

Why would you say that? Surely if Central block is getting $7.50 instead of $2.30 it would make you think that payback is months on Central block.

Your logic does not makes sense to me.

Furthermore, for any acquisition to pay for itself in 2 years is extraordinary, and for us to have LNG pipelines and processing infrastructure into the bargain, a route to LNG export and to have now tied up all the Herrara fairway with this takeover is the ACE that now surpasses the amazing RIO licence we secured.

This management since November has not out a foot wrong, the market is oblivious to the turnaround.

Why you expect to get Central Block, and for TXP to be paid to do so (essentially it is with two year payback) I can’t comprehend.

There are so many things wrong with your post. You really think the government is going to meddle with a private bank on a commercial deal. Really?

“Touchstone Exploration (TXP): CORP Shell acquisition provides access to lucrative LNG market Touchstone (TXP) has announced an agreement to acquire Shell Trinidad Central Block Limited (STCBL) from BG Overseas Holdings Limited for US$23m in cash. STCBL holds a 65% operating working interest in the Central block, which currently produces 3,200boepd gross (18MMscf/d of natural gas and 200bbls/d of NGL’s) or 2,080boepd net to TXP of low decline production.

The assets include an 80MMscf/d gas processing plant (the Evergreen Facility) and a gas export pipeline connecting to both the domestic market and the Atlantic LNG facility – providing TXP with exposure to the high-margin LNG export pricing.

The transaction is expected to be funded by debt and TXP are in active discussion with its Trinidad-based lender (Republic Bank) to fund the acquisition. “

The acquisition is expected to have an effective date of 1 January 2025 and is expected to close in 2Q25.

I thought the team were really confident this week, they had this coming,

With handset, remember they said they had the Herrera fairway sewn up, except for maybe one licence.

They also said that Coho gas goes through Shell facility and to LNG facilities, and the price they get was underrepresented.

Today’s news fits in with the above and more. And no dilution.

This is extraordinary news in the context of a laughable share price…..this will SHOCK the market as much as it’s shocking our upper bear Rossannan.

Ortoire had been drilled back in the 60’s was it and found gas, hence abandoned.

Gas was not the priority back then, now it is.

The comment about over exploited does not make sense, except if you haven’t reviewed the 3D seismic from this year.

Let’s see, Rossannan has this going down at 21.5p. Let’s look at where we are in 6 months.

Meanwhile, TXP has sewn up all the key Herrera licences, the largest independent onshore producer (and targeting to be the largest), growing 20% nest year and doubling Cascadura producing wells and will keep growing year after year.

Upside risk with LNG pricing developments which they mentioned multiple times, let’s see if it goes up or down from here….you say down, I say up at 21.50p.

Go match the AXL chart against their positive annoucements, back to back positive RNSs and growth.

They’re down 33% too, but don’t let facts get in the way of your agenda.

We’re growing fast, yes 20% growth is not as fast as we’d like, but growth is there.

Not much more bad news, but no good news from here priced in.

Risk is to the upside. The assets are there, the licences are there, the growth is there. Fair enough, growth not as fast as we’d like, but year on year growth and reducing debt.

I cant be bothered replying to someone like you who deramps every board, full of doom and gloom.

That’s my point, you were complaining about TRIN at the 35p level, just before they were eventually taken over at 68.5p.
