If anyone caught the briefing earlier, Matty H referred to the public's ability to donate plasma to patients in hospital to support their antibodies. Now I don't know about anybody else, but i would be delighted to support that initiative and what do you need to prove you have antibodies? A reliable, RTC antibody test...
Have a good weekend all, hope for more positivity (and god help us less politics) next week....ATB, Chaps
Seeing some nice movement here...I must say, Red Leg is a lovely drop! Perfect in a hippo round the golf course...
Be good to see this move further north as people begin to re-engage with the hospitality sector.
All LTH and new ones that are in for the longer haul (not day trading)...when this boards descends into delirium, which is becoming increasingly more often, take yourselves back through the RNS', the company fundamentals and the bigger picture of what is happening here. Remember, ODX have two main COVID related revenue streams....the Mologic deal that will be manufacturer out of their Littleport site in Cambridgeshire AND the RTC project, which will be manufactured out of their, now significantly expanded, Alva site up in Scotland.
Mologic deal - up to 46,000 manufactured tests per day
RTC - multi-m's per year
Which part of GOVERNMENT FUNDED CONSORTIUM do people not understand? What do you think the government are funding if it's not a full package of overhead coverage, including staff, materials costs, logistics etc?
It's not that......they don't need to, as a fundamental part of the GOVERNMENT BACKED consortium.
I'm in both and I have to say that ORPH have an incredibly diverse product & service offering, perhaps even more so than ODX....HOWEVER, this is an ODX board and so shouldn't really be discussing ORPH here. I'll gladly open up some dialogue with folk over there though...
ODX have the volume play in the antibody market though, which is key for me. As we were discussing yesterday, everyone is going to want to buy a home testing antibody kit.....for legislative reasons, for medical reasons, for mental health reasons, for vanity purposes....the list is long and the demand will be high. The numbers speak for themselves....huge expansion at the Alva site to cope and scale, 20+ new technicians required to support the workload + the app to compliment the test - it's the complete antibody testing package.
Good call...
One really must be careful speculating on pricing targets on this board, because you can quite quickly lose any credibility you had in the first place. Unless you have a crystal ball and can actually predict the future, then it's probably better just to post factual information like the rest of us, that other investors can genuinely get value from.
ATB
It's a smart move by ODX in my opinion...especially given the dog's abuse the company was given on the back of the Sky interview with CK, unfairly I believe. This RNS underpins the current SP and will hopefully steady the volatility for the coming weeks until design freeze is achieved. That's good for most of us, IMO......the day traders may disagree though - good luck trading those 1-2% swings!
I reiterate.....it only refers to a proportion of ODX's COVID related plays too (with the Mologic deal running in tandem), let alone the other revenue streams ODX have as part of their historical business.
Delayed trade from after hours last night, by the looks of things...
Someone is confident!
Fundamentals have not changed an iota here IMO - away from the traditional medical reasons to have antibody testing, everyone is going to want one anyway....just so they can see if they've had COVID and got the antibodies......it'll almost be like a vanity purchase for some i believe.
Are you deliberately being antagonistic with your questions today, Punit?
Surely, the history of the curves dictates that we see volatile movements from day to day. Maybe you're better off out of it if you're getting nervous at 7-8% drops?
HL have been pretty dire for a while now guys; I posted here yesterday about the lack of live pricing data....I've messaged them multiple times on the lack of trading information, but the responses have been pretty empty.
Good morning thus far here, pleased after yesterday afternoon...evident nothing has changed, but it will be volatile for a bit. Looking back at the NCYT chart in the early rising days, it went from 165p down to 60p in a few days and then up to 500p!! It is so important to listen to the factual posters here on the real potential and numbers, not the speculative investors who are telling you it'll be 'X price, by X date'...
DYOR and GLA
Sorry to those who bought on the earlier spike, but that is a lesson for you all.....you just don't do it. Secondly, we've already said here who the likely posters are that you can trust more than others. It's quite clear in the language used.....I personally wouldn't listen to anything written in block capitals with 300 exclamation marks after each statement, but that's your prerogative.
The numbers are still there, the market is still there, the expansion plans are still there and more importantly, those of us here who don't intend to mislead are also still here. I have filtered most of the non-nonsensical rampers already, so i suggest you do too and make the decisions based away from this chat board.
On its way back up into the close. Good luck all for the remainder of the week.
I was about to ask the board the question shortter.....is it too early to have a beer?! Enjoy it and to all other genuine, insightful holders here......the amber nectar will taste that little bit sweeter today.
May i also politely remind everyone, that this is all IN ADDITION to the work still being done in collaboration with Mologic...
I wouldn't be surprised if we see something mentioned later on today, or at the very least, this week, in the daily briefing around the test, track and trace on antibody testing...now Colin's been on Sky News.
Then it's PHE approval and roll-out into mass production.
Clue's in the name X66, i feel...
A big elbow bump to all you guys that watched, listened to and researched all the SOLID FUNDAMENTALS here and blocked out the noise on this board. This is just the beginning IMO...a magnificent interview on Sky, proposing the lateral flow test and complimentary app - this just shows they're looking at a comprehensive service as opposed to just the product, which is a very astute piece of business. Combine that with the job ad we know about for the 20+ new technicians and the potential to produce 50,000,000 tests a year + huge expansions to their HQ site up in Alva.
This is a very clear example that you should follow the fundamentals, do your research and not be swayed by people on these boards trying to get you to panic sell your holdings.
Good luck to all over the coming days and months :)
Chaps
Wholeheartedly agree Lockes....50,000,000 tests per year, sub-£10 confirmed....let's speculate on £6-7 a test - quite simple sums equating to a behemoth of a business.
WE'RE GOING BALLISTIC, MAV!!
Positive moves this morning all....hope we're all still exercising the right to be patient AF!
On a separate note, anyone else really disappointed in HL of late? No live trade information for months now and quite often, live pricing just goes AWOL.....very poor imo.
