Is Oman all a dream you ask? Copper is turning into a nightmare at the moment, tanking with the poor outlook for China with the uncertainty of trade wars. Currently at a 12-month low. Not a great time to be entering the market?

Any ask price under the 9p placement will attract buyers, me included. Can’t see it falling more than a fraction below? Due to the relatively high volume placed at 9p, this has become the new normal until something new and significant happens.

I see no reason for nervousness, just noting what I believed were large sells. Then I saw no reason for the determined selling at 12p until it became clear that the placing was at 9p which was clearly “predicted” by the sellers. I dare say that any slip below 9p will be eagerly bought by those subscribers not getting the placement allocation they wanted? I seem to recall having a few below the previous placement price or was it all a dream?

Bearish sentiments indeed GW! If they come to pass I will still be in profit but the new institutional shareholders at 9p will not. Would a drop to 7.5p trigger stop losses? Far from seeing new buyers, two 1 million sales reported just now may suggest nervousness?

Presumably someone with incredible “foresight” to sell all the way from 17p down to 9p and then buy back? A licence to print money for those so gifted? We lesser mortals just stay invested and hope we see these lofty heights again soon!

Rio might rather consider a JV with SAV and co. in Oman similar to Moz, to fund development and secure an offtake agreement. It may be small but wouldn’t cost much to take whatever is available at low risk with an established, trusted partner. Rio’s copper expertise would be invaluable to the JV.

If warrant holders haven’t got the cash to hand they would probably borrow the stake at 6p each or whatever, then sell enough to repay the loan. Or sell the lot and cry all the way to the bank?
