Thinking of different perspectives, if we had just bought a neighbouring plot in Portugal with 6MT of defined lithium for $US 11.9 m, all paid in shares, most people would see that as a triumph? This purchase is much better as there is no additional risk attached and the sellers interests are aligned with hours. Let’s just enjoy what has been achieved and leave concerns over other projects to another day?

I was simply asking Cransley if that was the Reuter’s article he was referring to. If I relegated your post it was not intentional. But in answer to your “so what” it is significant in that additional capacity to process our output I.e. spodumene is good news as it means there will be less chance of bottlenecks in the processing chain and a ready market for spodumene. I look forward to a European announcement on similar capacity. I’m not immune to the negatives with SAV and have been derisking by reducing my holding in favour of other companies closer to production e.g BCN. Just FYI!

When a small project like this has been dormant for so long and any momentum lost, I think you can safely write it off and save yourself the frustration of worrying about it. As I said a couple of weeks back, a more likely outcome is a sale or possibly a JV with Alara who have recently raised cash for acquisitions. Alternatively if you are hell bent on mining copper in Oman now, flip some SAV shares for Alara shares?

Ps it’s worth remembering that Iceberg calculated the NPV (less Capex) of the MDB project in the region of 28p on the SP by the time it gets to production. As the milestones are passed over the next year or two, I can see the SP increasing step by step to this level. While I share frustration on Oman, it’s worth remembering that this project is comparatively tiny and only worth 2p in production. I have to remind myself that it’s really not worth fretting about!

All very positive and more alignment with European value chain now than merely shipping to China. Mining by the end of next year is “an ambitious target” but gives time for offtake agreements and corporate alignments to be negotiated and announced. Each will be good news for confidence and the SP I’m sure. Meanwhile Moz or Oman licences could pop at any time?

A minimal amount of reading reveals that solid state batteries simply replace the liquid electrolyte in which the Li ions flow with a solid polymer one. This is thought to minimise the fire risk. It still uses lithium as has been said many times!

The need to explore for additional tonnage is therefore understandable to take us into the medium-size group and raise our profile with battery manufacturers.

I’d be happier with a JV! SAV without lithium and no licences for Moz or Oman would not be a very inspiring prospect?

excellent lithium prospectivity focusing on a large scale pegmatite in Block A where
o Rock chip sampling has returned a maximum result of 1.53% Li2O
o Reconnaissance geological mapping and air photography interpretation suggest a
pegmatite body of up to 300m long and 25m wide is present
o The geometry and characteristics of the body appears to be similar to the 16.4Mt
Grandao deposit at Mina do Barroso - potential to develop into a significant
resource amenable to open pit mining
• Savannah is confident the Lease application area provides further resource upside to
enhance Mina do Barroso, and could help optimise the layout for any potential mine

I share your frustration at missed deadlines and lack of updates. It’s probably the stage SAV are at in the mining cycle which demands the patience of a saint. To vary the mood a little I have been taking a bigger stake in BCN who, in spite of recent funding issues are so much further along the cycle and ripe with speculation. It is quite instructive if only to see in advance what challenges and opportunities may await SAV in getting from feasibility to production.

I accept that this is highly speculative but in my mind the chances of this going to 80p and soon are much higher than it dropping to 10p. I believe that’s what is called an asymmetric bet?

I don’t think there are any prescribed stages as such but it will cover issues such as community, geographic, licensing; designs and descriptions for mine operation, cost estimates, project risks and safety. Quite a lot of work and as you say we have already missed the Q1 target for delivery. I dare say it will have to be signed off by Rio as there are project ownership % consequences to this milestone. That might take some time as no doubt it would have to be Approved by Rio technical, legal and financial heads? Maybe give it another quarter or 2?

I’ve been topping up again this morning £5k to a £25k stake. News of funding will be transformational and is imminent in my opinion.
