It's interesting how detractors and knockers have had to move on from arguing that these discussions with Super Majors weren't genuine to now saying 'What if they walked away??' I guess it's big step in the right direction ;-)

NIKO on standby, funded by a hedge fund (taking us to 1000bpd), with others potentially fundable by a similar process, if both Super Majors walk away.

But the Super Majors won't be walking away - at least one will be sticking with it, if not both.

The Super Major that's further ahead, will have the opportunity, based upon what's been learned from the testing, to cover as much area as possible in any deal, with a greater degree of confidence than the other playing catch up. If the proceed to a deal - and believe they will - then will be interesting to see what gets included.

From the recording of the meeting, ZM says one of the parties is keener on a farm in and the other on a Joint ops or venture approach.

Zaza is extremely keen to move this on, '...sooner better than later.'

Except we producing enough and there's been a number of train loads.

The rest of its about the testing as we head towards one if not two deals with Super Majors.

Whatever amount it is, it's enough to cover our costs and YA and has got to be safe to assume is increasing all the time.

In the circumstances, achieving 1000bpd isn't the priority (though it's great to know we're producing enough to cover operational costs and pay YA).

Right now, it's that testing towards a deal with one of the two Super Majors - if not both - that's the key focus, and rightly so :-)

Perhaps if the FCA had any teeth and will to go about doing something to stop abuse, but they don't. In essence, though, shorting requires the SP to drop. Because it is allowed, shorting exists. For it to be profitable, shorters have to make interventions abioe and beyond merely placing a short. Otherwise, they are more likely to lose money. So nefarious behaviour amongst commonplace amongst shorters.

But appreciate your thoughts StarRage, they were well made and provided me with food for thought.

On a side note: a shorter once told that a short he'd placed went severely wrong and that he had to sell one of his three London houses.

But regarding the shorters, the "...those that go out of there way to try and destroy a company with lies and deceit' happens because shorting is allowed. Shorting makes money counter to the share price rising. This puts shorters at odds with the rest that don't. As a result, they will do what whatever they can, especially on AIM. All this meaning that the "...those that go out of there way to try and destroy a company with lies and deceit" is absolutely inevitable if shorting is allowed.

Because the article is utter cr-ap and Zaza is busy, in discussions with not one BUT TWO Super Majors, busy selling loads of oil, meaning he can be very comfortable about where this is going and that the end results will do the talking...
