Carrington, but we already anticipate operational hours at 110 to 115% of pre Covid-19 during 24, this was announced last Thursday.
That's why the Ryan Air information is irrelevant to Rolls-Royce, sentiment is already known
Thriller40, you've done well with Rolls-Royce.
How do you define, done well?
I'm holding 400000 Rolls-Royce at an average of 89.77p.
Have I done well?
I haven't sold a single share and I won't even consider it until June 27, when I envisage £11 plus.
I'm curious as to your fundamental analysis.
Can anyone who is a Rolls-Royce LTH explain to me why I'm reading this thread about mortgages, terms, buy to lets?
I'm not here to be your financial advisor, end it, talk about Rolls-Royce as a bear or a bull.
Dear me, a but of social exposure and , well the children arrive!
Charley, investments aren't a science like maths or chemistry, whereby something happens and produces the identical response.
JP Morgan is just one of a number of institutions that has upgraded Rolls-Royce without any real reflection with regards to the SP.
Only 1 broker has downgraded.
Chill man and wait, in a year the SP will be north of here.
Rr101, I agree entirely, but everything is relative.
Do what makes you happy and stress free.
But life becomes relative.
When somebody posts, " I have a substantial investment in Rolls-Royce ".
Substantial to who?
Them or Rolls-Royce.
I am in Vietnam at the moment and yesterday evening I looked at my portfolio and I was up 104k.
Not bad for a guy who has never earned more than 36k in a year.
By close of play, I was up 75k and I'm down 15k today.
Is this substantial?
I never, ever try to time the market.
Sure, everybody should have sold at 368 yesterday and bought back, WHEN?
Lol
I look at fundamentals which changed yesterday, I'll hold until a minimum of 27 and then reassess.
Enjoy your profit
Charley you are really struggling with this JP Morgan upgrade aren't you?
Why is it so important to you?
Their aviation analyst David Berry is a laughing stock.
He's been behind the Rolls-Royce curve for years, he's an idiot.
We are nowhere near 470's yet.
Why are you hung up on this
Pott, for the life of me, if you think in a years time, you'll ve at £5 / £5.50 with dividends, why would you have sold shares yesterday, simply because you are up 100%.
I'm averaging 89.99p and wouldn't sell a single one.
Do you dislike profit?
40% plus in a year not good for you?
GEORGEW1995 everybody does what they want.
If I'd sold 50% at 2.10 I'd question my basic fundamental analysis of Rolls-Royce.
Seriously, I'm in to a minimum of 2027, what price £9/£10?
What dividend 4%.
I don't day trade because I don't have the incredible ability to foresee trading patterns like the experts here.
I don't sell just because percentile gains or a certain SP has been achieved, I assess fundamentals, which change constantly.
If flying hours hit 110% plus of 19 in 24, if the forecasted targets of profit, free cash flow are exceeded, as I'm sure they will, why sell.
Where do I go to get the same growth potential?
Questions only experts can answer.
By the way, I'm averaging 89.77p
Tombeef, the reason I ask is that I made a mistake in late Sept early October, selling 160000 Rolls-Royce and putting the money into Easyjet at an average of £4.07.
The reason was, I thought Easyjet would rise to £6 before Rolls-Royce rose to £2.50 before the Capital day end of November.
I hot that wrong
Still holding 240000 Rolls-Royce at an average of 89.99p.
Both Easyjet and Rolls-Royce will do me nicely by 2027.
Rr101, you do tend to have a glass half empty view.
I'm holding until at least 27, personally I couldn't care less what the SP does in 1 hr.
Have you seen the guidance for the coming years?
GP, free cash flow, sales, restructuring et al
God help us tomorrow, this thread will go berserk.
There will be 100's of posts, incredible analytical rhetoric, new posters, people talking about Phantoms, Ghosts, Cullinans lol.
People who don't know the difference between there and their, your and you are, should of, could of, would will be at the forefront, no usage of should have et al.
It's going to be a nightmare.
To all LTW,'s and you know who you are, good luck and keep looking forward.
