This week's Investor's Chronicle has a substantial article regarding the positives of oil production in both the North and west of Africa. NO reference to San Leon, but overall bullish about the prospects for the region.
In the past, I've not taken up on IC's opinions on future trends, with massive regrets.
The first of these was back about 2003, 2004, when they were pushing gold as a major growth area, when it was at about $300/oz, and as history shows peaked at over $2000/oz. I didn't take them up on it.
The second was bitcoin, sometime later , but this time I refused to touch it because I had no faith in the sellers; it just seemed like throwing money into a black hole. Bitcoin was at about $600/pop then; history again is laughing.
The lack of finality on the deal in hand with San Leon is the main worry at this point in time. Eroton coming up with the readies is crucial. History could be telling us in the future that this was the greatest buying opportunity ever.
Here's hoping. Covid has shafted my savings, I'd like some back.
