The above link to a BBC article makes an interesting read about how some of the Georgian population feel towards Russian tourists visiting their country; and by implication the hostilities caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

I'm thinking now that this farce will never come to a good conclusion for us 'Investors' in our lifetime and that no one expects their money's to be effectively confiscated without any recourse to meaningful explanation.

I know that I took a risk, but with a trading share I could alway decide to sell. However we have had NO choice and have had no explanation or apologies from anyone connected to this management!

The past following on from the above saying this was prophetic has now been deleted from the board & my history as though it never existed.

Morning all positive people here.

It is good to read that this company is slowly getting legal matters & problems sorted, for all of us hopefully.

However, being a pragmatist, I understand that even though the Georgian people want a more forward aspirational Western leaning democracy; their corrupt government is determined to keep the 'Status quo' within the Russian orbit, led by the murderous dictator Putin.

Both he and his cronies are determined to keep their power & corruptive administration intact. So I personally feel that until they are totally removed, this/our company will struggle to do anything positive for us.

Pessimistic but still hopeful .

Since the market generally appears to be in a very negative 'downward drift'. (Not sure we are that close to 'Sell in May & go away'.

Time and again I, (& I assume others), have been impressed and immensely grateful with your
personal and professional contributions to this board. Your knowledgeable and thought out arguments are a priceless addition without which we all would have been the poorer.
My personal thoughts now, are that we shareholders will at last get something from this debacle; though I think it won't be totally resolved until the Ukrainian/Russian war has ended.

Today's s.p. has been a total disaster. When I/We were expecting much better figures from all the different hyped information this company has alluded to in past RNS.
We have KNOWN that there have been power restrictions and water shortages in South Africa over the past months, but we didn't know for how long or that the Local Government had shut down plant for weeks because of a fatality! This and more, most definitely should have been informed to us/& market at the pertinent time, because it is definitely price sensitive information!
Leon is probably a very good chemical engineer but he certainly is not a very good CEO!
WE deserve better than to see our 'hard earned' diminish by so much (37%) over the last 6 months despite the fall in metal values, because we were not lawfully updated!

The GKP share topped out on 19th February 2012 at 542p and many shareholders lost many, many 000's in the following months while that b*****d was given many, many free shares for his (ahum) 'advice'.

I remember in my first house (1980) refurbishing an old bathroom. Being short of money but rather good at DIY I decided to keep as much of the old copper pipes as possible to reuse.
By the time I had cut up, repurposed and cleaned this pipework sufficiently to resolder new joints, my job-time was increasing disproportionately. I also had to buy extra adaptive joints to marry the old Imperial pipe size with the new metric!
In my Draughting days before computers and CAD it was often easier and quicker to redraw a completely new drawing if the required modifications were considerable.

I just tried some dummy buys and sells at 1025 today. VERY STRANGE!
I could sell my whole holding of 80K with no problems two or three times, but could not buy even 15K without it going to a negotiation!
With an apparently falling share price this seems very odd to me, so I'll sit on my hands for now.
I'm expecting this s.p. to fall to <25p over the next few weeks before thinking of buying some more.

gotreal: good point; but actually from this very site, although I will be the 1st to admit that buys/sells are very often reported visa versa!!
But the apparent 'final sell' trade seems to reinforce my point. 91 times sells / buys!

The large number of sells today have not moved the share price lower (at 16:15) and in fact have been 70 times the number of buys; how strange?
Does this create a 'floor' under our investment from which we can ascend positively with strength & momentum when the full year figures are announced later? I really hope so.
Until then I am quietly confident that my investment is relatively safe in these difficult times. .... Big Smiley.

This last month has been a disaster for all shareholders and I count myself VERY LUCKY to have sold out about evens at 39p when I became weary of the ongoing problems.
