Alternatively it could be a new investor with deep pockets building a stake?

Either way, almost £56,000 is, by anybody's standards, a substantial investment .

All should become clear over the next few days...

Funnily enough I bought roughly the same number of shares at the same time, but that didn't stop from topping up again today following a very convincing performance on the last podcast.

Next week should see some more news and most of us will have taken our final positions before company-changing updates at the beginning of October, IMHO. But, as always, DYOR and good luck to all.

Nice to see the SP on the move in the right direction for a change...

For the first time today - that is is looking a bit better - maybe CB has decided to take his own advice after all?

Well, if he really believes what he was saying in the podcast, then he can hardly resist investing at the current level of SP - after all, he did advise the rest of us to do just that!

Another good performance from CB - I lost count how many times he used the word "excited" and the first time I have heard him recommend we invest any spare cash here - I think he actually believes that XTR is finally on its way! - And he should know...

My slant on the trade is that Sanderson have purchased the shares directly from the broker that organised the placing (Novum?) as they will be holding the shares on behalf of the participants of the placing and will have various sell orders on them. Very unlikely that Sanderson were involved in the placing itself as they would almost certainly have sold as many as possible before the drop caused by the placing RNS took the price below the placing price and there is no evidence of this happening.

My guess is that Sanderson have paid what the participants wanted ( most would accept a 10-20% profit?) and so got the shares at a fraction of the price they would have to have paid on the open market.

Why would they do this? - Maybe because they think they will make a killing in the near future - If they have purchased the shares for an average of 1.5p they could easily treble their money over the next few month...

Alternatively I could be completely wrong, they could have participated to the tune of 3/4 of the placing and they may now flood the market with cheap shares in order to turn a quick 5% profit?

We shall soon see...

Multiples of £5M, that's for sure and also why so many of we LTHs are still here.

So looks like Clive has joined a very select group of significant shareholders in the company?

I heard recently that the hard rock contractors were placing orders for the processing equipment. I hope this is true because, once committed to pay for the equipment, the contractors are likely to get serious.

It would also give me a bit more confidence that first production will happen in my lifetime.

Perhaps the next RNS will be able to confirm the state of play one way or t'other?

You could be right, but there must be many like me that paid a very high price years ago but also bought around .7p three months ago.

Looks like there is going to be something for everybody :-)

With 80 million 1.2p placing shares floating about there is bound to be plenty of selling once the participants reach their individual profit requirements so any rise will certainly be slow to start with and there will be plenty of selling to comment upon for those that like to dwell on such things - so should be some very happy posters here.
A mark of how confident or wary the market is will be how quickly/slowly the selling stops to allow the SP to react without a synthetic drag being applied...

Almost 2 million normal trade buys today versus just 75 thousand sold - seems conclusive to me...

Is this the best kept secret on AIM or is it just a pile of cr*p?

If/when the 2,300 tonnes of copper are proved up in the tailing dumps, that would mean there is about £11M worth of copper lying around that needs some processing ( but already extracted from the ground so minimal mining costs).
As the preliminary sample test results so closely match the historic information, it is beginning to look like those dumps will prove to be a very good investment in deed...
