Don't be so hard on yourself 3CB, you were right the first time...
In Empress' latest April presentation they are still forecasting first income from Manica in Q2.
Maybe they are just as 'optimistic' as CB (or should that read 'gullible'?).
Funnily enough, £350M was the figure I was toying with for our licence - so quite a coincidence...
Not so sure that Empress is that impressive, TBH.
They seem to lay out relatively large sums of cash In return for a relatively small return at some uncertain point in the future, not particularly impressive when compared to their ongoing investment cash requirement and their total corporate overhead.
Just my opinion, but I reckon that XTR shareholders will get a much better return in a far shorter timeframe than those that are invested in Empress...
Looks like a good time to top up, IMHO, so have just put another just over 2.5 million shares into my ISA. I got them for 0.188p, so showing as a sell.
That should be 'record quarter'....
I was thinking the same thing.
Preps at Guy Fawkes should have been completed during Q1 so we should now be ramping up production. I would not be surprised to get another record month for income, despite the rains, as the Chinese contractors seem to be very good at designing processes that will work in all weathers...
Google Trader's Cafe with Zak Mir. The interview was posted just before 4.00 yesterday...
Could it be that forest needs clearing for the new drill pad locations and this takes longer to process, due to the environmental impact?
If we want an updated model any time soon for the open pit then they have to define the edges of the deposit, which, by definition, means we need drills with reduced mineralisation. A few more like 27 and we will hopefully be in a position to publish the model. A few more like 26 and the model should be spectacular.
Also good to see that the assay results seem to breaking through the bottle neck of recent months.
Let's face it, Mankayan will only be a success for us if enough money is raised with the ASX listing to cover the development of the project. Otherwise BZT will be diluted out of existence long before anybody sees the first dore bar...
I have no doubt that a good investment argument can be made for the project, but how long would it take to raise the neccesary cash?
By all means, hope for the best, but also be prepared to accept the reality of the situation.
Having said this, I am still accumulating here, but for very different reasons to those proposed recently on this board...
As Manica is also a flagship for Empress, I am pretty sure they will want to shout commencement of production from the rooftops and they have been more forthcoming with news in recent months, so we will have two sources of information. After all these years I'm not sure that CB would want a Johnny Come Lately to steal the lime light?
Hello Prickly,
I wouldn't hold my breath on the ASX listing, if I were you. If you take a look at the language now being used, it is only an "intention" and not a "certainty". Also there seems to be is no sense of urgency regarding the listing, which leads me to think that, even if it does happen, it is unlikely to be any time soon.
XTR has never been a share for the impatient, and I see no reason for that to change.
However I do think that the SP will be many multiples of the current price...one day.
Agreed, CB alsonsaid that Bushranger is already a success, even if no more work is done. So significant value already in the bag and probably plenty of background negotiations already under way...
Good to see the SP back over 6p, BTW.
Hi Cygnus,
To be honest, I just want to see the finishing line now. By the end of October it should be possible to conclude a decent deal, based on information collected by the end of May and that should be sufficient to make us all happy - I am hoping for a payment of something in the region of $500M and i would be happy with that so that we can get a reasonable special dividend and also finance our other project to the point that they are able to give us another pay-out or two to look forward to - but we need to sell Bush Ranger as a first step...
When we went to the investor event last October, CB said he had a target of completing the deal within 12 months - so i am happy to give him until the end of October this year to come up with the goods - but I will be disappointed if it takes any longer...
Hello Billy,
You may be happy with 10p plus, but as CB paid 23p per share for over 40 million shares, back in September 2011, I very much doubt that he will be happy with anything less than 25p per share. CB is on the record as having stated that he intends to make a profit out of his investment here and, having invested over £10 million in total he has a very good incentive to do so...
Thanks Andy,
I have sent an alternative email address to you, David.
Fingers crossed...
Many thanks to all three of you, and of course CB, for devoting the time and effort needed to keep communication lines open.
Prickly, can you please do your best to make sure I get a copy of the notes as I seem to have a habit of regularly falling off the circulation list.
ATB.
