Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
You could be right Gixxer - if he were an individual shareholder with about £2M invested in the company then I would expect him to be active at AGMs, company events etc. but I have never knowingly met him. Of course this does not prove anything as we are all entitled to our privacy, but I would hazard a guess that it points towards the probability that you are hitting the nail on the head.
Agreed - I bought half a million shares in my ISA - so if the Sunday Roast crew are correct the shares should buy me a summer home in Spain in a few years time...
I think that one of the concerns for many here - and probably Institutional Investors too, is that we have been promised an updated model ( in various forms) for almost a year now, with it being either very close or imminent on more than one occasion, yet it still seems to be as far away as ever - now promised for April/ May ( so maybe June/July if we are lucky?).
We all know that the new porphyry(s) is/are a long way from being mapped, but the BR open pit must be well understood by now and we could at least get an indication of contained mineralised rock for the open-pit area, as was originally promised long before Christmas - then, once the grades are known ( again from delayed assay results), the company would be able to update the model again to give an idea of contained copper. Not so long ago, this phased release of information to the market was the plan but now it seems that there is no plan at all?
What is the use of having a top notch geo team on board if we never hear anything of substance from them?
If CB wants to play his cards close to his chest because he is already speaking to potential suitors then why not just come out and say it? I am sure that most of us would then understand the recently delayed release of information and would be more than happy to await a further update.
I am pretty sure it is the lack of meaningful communication and the repeated ongoing failures to deliver on promises that is responsible for the current SP - and only the company can do anything about that!
Well CB certainly seems to be very frustrated about the SP at the moment - but as he is the only person that can supply the information needed to push the SP over the 'tipping point' into a re-rate, there's no point in his complaining about it IMHO.
Speaking from a personal point of view, I managed to get a nice 'bed and ISA' away earlier today at 5.3p, so I am now happy for the SP to fly up to the expected 8-9p range - although I suspect that there are more than a few here that want the price to carry on at the current level for a while longer so they can pick up a bargain or two?
Ready when you are, Colin, for that company changing news...
Hello Steve,
I have a feeling that that is exactly what Ella meant - so I think you both agree. I'm sure Ella will correct me if I am wrong :-)
Hello Lucky,
As you know, I have never been a fan of warrants being issued by a company that does not need the money and I spoke against them at the AGM.
My feeling is that the last wadge of warrants was issued because we have a lazy and not particularly competent broker. With the emerging picture at BR and the short term African income it should have been a breeze for a good broker with a decent investor portfolio to get the last placing away without having to offer warrants as a sweetener.
Between the placing shares and the warrants I think that a massive overhang has been created that will hold back the SP for quite some time.
I have no doubt that the SP will break 9p and probably also 10p by the summer, but I also think that sentiment would be better now, as would the SP, had we a broker with a half-decent reputation in the market place.
Need to pay a sizeable premium to buy even 10k shares this morning, so looks like increase in SP is set to continue...
7.5% up now - something brewing?
Six price monitoring extensions for only about 50 recorded trades? - Seems odd to me!
Hello Andy,
Very well, thank you and I hope you are too.
I completely agree, CB and First Quantum have a proven successful track record together where both parties have made good profit, so it is great to see them start a new collaboration.
It will be interesting to see what the market makes of it...
Excellent news this morning. A great platform for future growth, and at no cost to AFP. A bit of a coup by CB?
Dusters, not sisters!.. I don't know, though, there is still life in the old dog yet...
Added to which CB has publically stated on just about every recent interview that, much against the odds, every completed hole has struck paydirt. Highly unlikely he would say that if he had a handful of sisters in his back pocket. CB may be a bit over-optimistic at times (OK, maybe most of the time) but he is not a complete idiot!
Well POC now at $10,050 - so looks like you were right, Andrew. Would be nice to see the XTR SP equally bullish...
Hello Andrew,
I would love to agree, and hope that you are right, but going on past form " early January " could well go into February in the CB calendar...
"Poacher turned Gamekeeper" comes to mind?
Pity about the casualties along the way...
Not sure if this link to Empress' last interview in December has already been posted?
It gives an update on Manica a few minutes in with a good photo of the plant.

Let's hope the recent rally in POG continues well into the New Year, just in time for some serious hard rock production from Manica.
All the best to everybody for a very happy and prosperous New Year!
Yes, he mentioned this at one of the AGMs - can't remember which one. He gave the same reasoning at that time too, so it can't be easy to replace him if he still needs to stay on for another 6 months to help find a suitable candidate...
Hello DC,
Appology accepted, I know it is easy to get carried away when in full flood...
