@Bannor - Here I was thinking there was only one band. :') and yes, it's a bit unfortunate that your partner felt that way. In most cases they tend to be good natured. Passionate but generally good natured, although I've only been to a handful. Never really followed the Sri Lankan team.

And true. England now is a totally different team. Much more aggressive on the field and Sri Lanka the opposite I guess.

As for the difference, it is very true and sadly I've been told it is starker now. The level of inflation it shocking and I feel that it will get worse.

As for visiting, I would be happy to recommend places. I would recommend Sri Lanka. Compact, varying climate conditions only few hours drive away from each other, nature, history and best of all, the food. I hope to go soon myself, in near future when it is safer.

India, I guess unless you have a lot of time, you need to pick specific spots..I've been looking at this area (wayanadu - never been but looks nice on google) that was recommended to me by a friend. Again, I know the local cuisine is lovely.

The part that I been to in France wasn't so lovely unfortunately though I didn't have to speak French (I know less than you lol) as I was with my cousin who did that for me.

There are many occasions where I look it up on Google. Especially when you and @FrankieH post. Some of them sticks to my head so good addition to my vocabulary.

Incidentally I will be looking up what "daedal" means very shortly :)
