It's been raised before, but I'm wondering whether Harbour Energy might look at us favourably? They still have a mountain of debt (probably around $1.1b come end of H1) but are paying it off fast, and possibly debt free by early next year depending on oil price, tax etc.
I see there's a Tullow/Capricorn energy merger going forward, they don't appear to be very happy about it on their chat boards
At least the timing of this additional tax has allowed us to get our accounts into the black.
If we're netting approx $40m dollars per lift, and there are 3x lifts between now and Christmas we're gonna be around $30m poorer, but also $90m richer.
I wonder which way CA will vote Re: Maris?
Hopefully answers your question:
Each year at least one-third of the directors or, if the number is not three, the number nearest to but not exceeding
one-third are required by the Company’s Articles of Association to retire by rotation and the retiring directors are then
eligible for re-appointment. Resolution 8 proposes the re-appointment of Antony Maris as a director in accordance with
Article 64 of the Company’s Articles of Association
Hi Sense. I'm personally interested in both your and Simples views, I don't necessarily agree with 100% of anything either of you say because I have 65 years of accumulated life experience. Keep posting the good stuff.
Great watch

Petro Atlantic on it's way to Lancaster
Unfortunate, and comes with additional costs, but this is the first time ( that I can remember) a problem has occurred.
According to Marine traffic info on the AK she has a max capacity of 104724 DWT x 7.4 = 775k BOE, so hopefully not a problem until a new collection can be sorted?
Ha, ha I sound as if I might know what I'm talking about, not really just what I've managed to dig up.
Looking back over the last couple of years notice of the AGM should be imminent .
Then either side of that our next lifting
Hopefully to cheer people up: Last collection 22th March. At 9000bpd and collection of 520k barrels = 58 days (or 8 weeks approx).
So next lift around this time next week. What do we think?
I can only assume you've all gone off to leave no stone unturned in your quest for these important questions.......
So we've handed back the Lincoln licence even though that was the only commercially viable drill of the last (3x drill )campaign. Why have HUR kept the Warwick licence when there was no success there? and if HUR see a future on Warwick will Spirit still have the option to be involved?
Sorry, beginning "The fund has a track record"
Might I draw your attention to paragraph 4 of the link for comment (beginning "The fund"), I note the word "targeting"
