Anyone know what these coded trades between market makers mean ?
This morning we've had single trades of

Can't be normal trades by the time you pay trade commission say £ 3.99 - it would be a nonsense.
Some of the trades are then followed by an avalanche of automated sells
Signals / Messaging ?
It's as if someone is still trying to control the share price, even after short positions are much reduced or closed.

Maybe just reduced positions !
Did anyone see these trades go through ?
Do shorters reposition on a quarterly basis ? For fund performance reporting purposes ?
Were they planning to reduce / close before the CMD ?
Anyone share their wisdom as to how it all works
FCA seem to have reminded everyone lately about accurate short position declarations.

These shorts are benefiting from a perfect storm to manipulate the SP , no doubt in my mind , pure shorts , nothing to do with corporate bonds.

add posters Ilikesalmon and mattw007 to that list of shorters.

I've always just assumed TSD , foresight and others are paid employees of the Shorters.
Who spread a bit of doubt & fear on share chat platforms to service their own agenda.
The rubbish they come out with is entertaining !
Just accept them , you won't get rid of them - only HUR fundamentals will.

Alistair Stobie couldn't fairly be blamed for anti oil sentiment, shorting & coronavirus suppressing the SP, yet he is removed from office at February's Board Meeting - as a result of pressure from institutional shareholders influencing other Directors.
Perhaps because of previous , with warrants or Spirit Energy ?
Perhaps Alistair Stobie was resisting requests to declare a dividend policy in up coming Financials .
Perhaps Alistair Stobie was resisting a takeover bid.

Bizarre ! how anyone could see downside value from this already suppressed SP.
Guess they could well have been hovering around below the 0.5% declarable level for a while.
Seems like a determined effort to have brought the SP down to this level and control it.
Hopefully 19th results , 25th CMD and quarterly production figures prove up the fundamentals.

Caius Capital LLP do seem to have lowered or maybe closed their short position.
Maybe explains those large buy trades disclosed after hours yesterday.
Loathe shorting - but you've have to admire how effective they are at it . create some doubt, spread a bit of fear via paid share chat discussion, start the downward momentum, objective achieved.
