I know of teachers who have wanted to leave public service, otherwise not, as they see public service as a force for good, helping people. Mind you I can imagine teachers reading your message and wondering why they wasted careers trying to teach basic spelling and grammar.

Considering how close they were to sign off, the silence since then has been deafening. There does need to be an update.

There is a new chief finance officer so it’s possible there are issues she’s dealing with that need audit attention. I do think that an update ASAP is needed as the longer there’s no accounts the more there will be speculation.

People donate according to their means and interests. It’s good you are in a position to pay donations, yet sad that try to use that that to show you are a good guy, really, despite your anti benefits stance. As for my personal donations that’s no business of anyone. I don’t profess to be rich, but I did set up our local food bank without state assistance, and have a severely disabled step-son in his 40s who lives independently and is supported by the state. So nobody need to preach to me about the use and value of public funds.

It would be fascinating to know how you would deal with the disadvantaged, poor, sick and disabled. Take away their benefits and carers and then what?

Rather harsh to say that disabled people choose to be on benefits or use a notability car. People have to go through hoops with assessments and aren’t handed money without reason by the state. Not everyone is blessed with City jobs or skills. I don’t resent people being helped to have food on the table or pay their rent. Those of us who can afford to support those who can’t should do so in my view.

Don’t forget people who live only with cash- not just older generations but those with learning disabilities or other challenges (eg financial) who can’t use online. It may be that banks can club together so between them they have a physical presence in the high street. Possibly using post offices which are also struggling to make sense in the new world.

A lot of words there. The message for me is the straight-forward one of allowing dividends to be reinvested and adding at some point if possible. Everything, more or less, is down as people prefer cash. It’s an understandable reaction to war.
