yes the tangible assets might be less - though presumably things have been upgraded considerably? however the intangible assets and assets to be developed are clearly worth somehing

I dont see why harl could not have sold some of the assets and yards to provide capital to continue the business - secure navy contract and belfast yard and kept the company out of liquidation.

they have clearly neglected their duty of care to the share holders. with the number of bidders they should have been able to get some good prices

but the riverstone gy is a dismantle / liquidation specialist not someone interested in running a business

Good posts on aim...it is a cess pit of lifestyle companies ..that you can't trust.

The last 3 disasters for me all had govt contracts. I felt that not only gave credibility to the companies but also guaranteed them pay days.

All have gone to xxxx.

Broom tree..one could argue that the workers should be able to find another job whilst shareholders are losing money that would have been their pensions or for family etc.etc
