TP ICAP Still Overvalued - Fevertreeman21 Nov 2021 10:07
Forward P/E is now 5.4 (12m Forecast Rolling)
Unless the LSE/Refinitiv data in Stocko is complete tosh, I don't see why this is overvalued. We're now at levels close to 2009, when there was genuine risk of bankrupty of major counterparties. Liquidnet is now priced at zero.
They have £1.033b Net cash, while Market Cap is £1.07b. Enterprise Value is £56.49m.
The only significant liability that I can see is if Cum-Ex results in a huge fine, but as I understand it, they have liability insurance against such a fine.
No doubt PI's are exiting, but I do not see a single significant reduction by any of the major shareholders in the past year. I suspect that algos are playing a big role here. My concern here is that poor results will see this fall below 100p. I would have thought that was ridiculous a few months ago, but that's our trajectory.
@Fevertreeman, can you shed any genuine reason why this is dropping from your supposed extensive knowledge of this business?
