Arc Minerals* (ARCM LN) 4.3p, Mkt Cap £31m – Drillers take stock after drill results highlight value in Cheyeza East copper discovery (The Cheyeza project is 66% owned by Arc Minerals through its holding in Zamsort)

• Arc Minerals have reduced their contribution to drilling costs to just 16% at Cheyeza East in Zambia.
• This has been done by persuading the drilling contractor to take half their fee in stock along with cash contributions from the minority partner, Kopara Investments.
• The deal with the drillers covers the initial 10,000m which should give sufficient to determine the scale and potentially the approximate value of the Cheyeza East copper project. This should cover the first 50-100 drill holes depending on how deep the mineralisation runs and how many deeper holes are used to test for potential repeating structures at greater depth.
• The effective price for the first allotment of 3.85m new share under the agreement is 4.78pence/s. Results to date include:
• CHDDE004:
o 18.00m at 2.35% Copper from 30.60m down hole including:
? 7.60m at 4.15% Copper from 39.00m
? 26.4m at 0.32% copper from 53.6m
• CHDDE005: ~200m from hole 4:
o 28.5m @ 1.32% copper inc.
? 13m @ 2.31% copper from 26.2m down the hole.
? 7.5m @ 0.3% from 59.6m
• CHDDE001:
o 3.94m, 0.72% copper from 35.8m down hole
• CHDDE002:
o 25m of 1.05% copper mineralisation from just 2m depth including:
? 1.7% copper over 9.3m from 18.5m depth and
• 13.34% copper over a short 0.56m intersection from 27m depth.
Conclusion: Drillers are the bed-rock of the exploration industry and while they might not be phd’s in geology but they are often expert at the rocks they drill into.
Experience says the drillers know a good thing when they drill into it and if they are anywhere near as lucky as the drillers at SolGold, they will soon be picking out condos on Caribbean islands.

However, I think the acquisition involves a new business model and new strategy, with higher end value to what we see today. I’m betting that we’ll have something very sought after and marketable.
The acquisition is almost certainly likely to be of another company and product rather than recruitment of new team members otherwise they would not be needing a formal market announcement of an acquisition.

Anybody here care to take a guess at what the aquisition will bring?
Reading between the lines this is aimed at: “opportunities to acquire complimentary products and teams, where clear opportunities exist to accelerate shareholder value”
I like the sound of this objective.
If it is complimentary to Maestrano’s Master Data Management technology I’m taking a guess that it will be a solution that involves data enrichment, data matching and linking, data consolidation, data security and quite possibly something that adds real accelerated value such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. Such a solution can potentially be applied to any sector, not necessarily finance. It could be used in sectors where Big Data needs to be processed and managed such as Life Sciences and Healthcare, Retail, Insurance, Transportation, Education, Government agencies and others. My guess is that we will see a completely new business model.

For me this is a buy and hold, the acquisition will probably take a couple of months. In the meantime we may get updates regarding the Australian bank roll-out and the global audit company roll-out and any new clients. Any meaningful accumulation will also move the shareprice higher before any news.

Am very tempted to buy in on this recovery, but it looks like the outlook still remains challenging and there is a high possibility of further negative trading updates.

Hi emil, I’m not worried about cash burn as this has been substantially reduced from the levels seen last year and Q1 as the ‘US bank’ project was closed down. Staff numbers were cut.
Funding is likely to be adequate until 2021.
This may change as a proposed acquisition of a new company is in play now, but I’m comfortable with current funding.

Yes well timed indeed, I managed to pick up quite a few last week too. I think this can run a lot higher from here.
The Master Data Management technology developed my Maestrano can potentially be applied to a large amount of use cases. Large enterprises are very keen on solutions that will intelligently manage and analyse thier vast stores of data, providing insights. This is a very fast growing technology and there are not many pure MDM players out there. If the company MNO are looking to aquire will provide complementary and additional functionality that creates a compelling marketable solution then this can really scale the business.

Now with the Section 232 uncertainty removed, Uranium price will see ongoing gains due to a return of power companies uranium fuel contracting in the term market. Also there will be increasing spot market purchases by producers (Cameco and others), traders, uranium funds.
The bull market for uranium is just about to begin...

Potential of a new strategy here, not much is mentioned about the opportunity but it could be a game changer. This could complement Maestrano’s patented Master Data Management technology with a strong existing business case. If the acquisition can accelerate commercial success, this will bounce back strongly.

Wasn’t there talk from JM about a royalty deal in Q3 before the main financing package is arranged?
I think that can really surprise. A major royalty deal can bring in tens of millions for initial infrastructure.
Could also be upfront off take deals.
