I think the important thing is to realise these solar parks are going into the pipeline of projects where the bulk of payment is only required when they reach a later stage in the process.

By which time the money could then be in the coffers from the arbitration or indeed simply by selling some other solar sites that have increased in value already to fund more early stage additions.

It's also worth considering that there is plenty of EU Green money sloshing about to finance low carbon energy projects.

If Tunisia lost ICSID and then refused to pay, where would they find more sucker investors that would put money into future projects in Tunisia?

Surely this would make any overseas investor sit up and think,"I don't want what happened to Zenith Energy to happen to me. Where are the safeguards it won't ?".

To be fair the price wasn`t fully valuing the solar pipeline let alone the gas and gas to electric In Italy when Iran looks to be spiking electricity price or the uranium in Europe or that potential massive payout from ICSID. (Or the non-operated oil production in the USA?)

Mixed feelings, historic and without these snouts in the trough we would probably never have made it to where we are now, but, yes, let`s draw a line under this and move forward with Mark and Siam and Leo doing great things. The market seems to like it.
