Although NB's rigs are all unmanned/heavily tech automated. I just have this vision of AI controlled drones whizzing round and inspecting on their own. lol

Lotto, I'm no expert on oil, you might be right, but my take on it is that the big boys control poo through cartels and control supply. A while back they increased supply to drop poo in an attempt to put the US shale startups out of business since they needed higher price to break-even. Whilst some operators may go the route you suggest and increase innovation I think many just cut back to wait it out. The rising poo now may be the signal for them to look again at this kind of thing. O+G sector has had setbacks in takeup of UAV, that may change with rising poo and NB connections but I have a gut feeling this isn't the direction NB/TB will take things..It was just NB's the connection to oil was too tempting not to mention when oil sector was brought up. Lotto, I think take-up of UAV to Oil & Gas industry has been held back due to investment cutbacks with the fall in the price of oil. Poo is now on the up again now though. You know who we know who has oil rigs, NB that's who :) Med_is, I was thinking the same thing this is a good uplift and it will be steady income for 3 years. GLA DYOR

The thing that I have always liked about Geocurve is the nature of their customer base. There is a good amount of repeat business from established customers with the volume increasing as the technology proves itself. It seems they are pretty much the goto guys for this kind of work with the Environment Agency & CH2M etc.. Now with the extra money to invest in the existing business and/or a complementary acquisition along with the contacts TB/NB can bring I have a positive outlook going forward. GLA GYOR

Well spotted maidit, This is how they have described themselves previously: "Strat Aero plc, an international aerospace company focused on the rapidly emerging Unmanned Aerial Vehicle ('UAV') sector" No mention of 'complete client solutions'. Looks like the are working their strapline away from pure uav stuff to also include whatever business area TB has desires on.

A bloke goes into the Natural History Museum and sees a big empty exhibit case..He asks the assistant what's that for..She says, "oh that's the #AERO share enclosure..they used to be very common but now the only ones left are in private collections" :)

Whatever the reason for the sale..he has gone to cash.. must be burning a hole in his pocket.

Lotto,I think people were also wondering from the Twitter likes of Jim Mellon on Aero tweets if he may be involved knowing he has interests in crypto etc.. putting 2+2 together on top of the Align note. JM involvement is only speculative as far as I know but certainly an interesting coincidence. GLA
