Strange to see the SP pullback on very positive news IMHO. Some great synergies in the deal. Software side like I discussed yesterday; Access to AI expertise which GyroMetric already use in their systems. Foot in the door of windfarm market very nice tie up to Aero. Aero has track record of windfarm surveys in US. Good cross-selling opportunities possible. They had a demo of the TopoDot #pointcloud processing software recently too and the mention of 'AI' in the RNS is tantalizing. AI would be massively useful plugin to analyse the kind of data they are getting from their scans to flag up issues for expert staff to look at in more detail. GLA DYOR

I've got a sneaky suspicion the software side will come to the fore in the upcoming acquisition. They let the cat out of the (Multi-)bag when they popped 'AI' in the descriptor in one of the RNS's. My guess is we are getting access to some cutting edge software expertise if this goes through. It is just a guess though. Lotto, you are right Geocurve have inherited some software from elsewhere in the business. I think it was developed for the USA survey & inspection business where they were originally had some contracts to survey solar or wind farms(can't remember which), in the states. This looked to be some kind of online portal type system and I wouldn't be surprised if Geocurve have adopted and are using this to push out survey results and analysis to customers. So could be what Aviva are talking about. There is also some software they developed to for some customers in the US to manage aeronautic assets although I think it's more like a general purpose CRM system with a few bits added. I'd like more visibility on the software but I think going forward we could see some stuff we already have being used, some off the shelf systems being integrated and possibly some state of the art AI tech added into the mix to give us a clear advantage in some areas. I bet TB/NB couldn't believe their luck here; I recon all they really wanted was a cash shell for their new red hot acquisition. Imagine how chuffed they must have been to find out that cash shell also had a division capable of exponential growth in it's own right and was complementary to their forthcoming purchase :) GLA DYOR

The listed status of this company could really come to the fore if the SP did substantially improve. Investors have had a good chance to average down by now. Placing over 1p would release lots of money to fund growth through M&A and take out the fledgling private competition. GLA DYOR

Schaden, the closure of US offices was issued in RNS in the Half Yearly report back in Sept 2017, but I think you knew this already. "We are currently exiting and minimising other US related commitments, including office lease and all equipment and software rentals. This is in line with our stated strategy of focusing on growing our three core business areas."

Anyone see ITV's Tonight program last night? Councils spending millions in compensation for cyclists injured by potholes. Would be so easy to avoid. All they need to do is use Geocurve to map the roads, AI to automatically pick out and grade potholes and pass to the repair teams..Saves money, saves lives, what's not to like? The only people who would lose out are the solicitors :) So many possible uses for the AERO tech, so much opportunity here IMHO GLA DYOR

Shalamar, If Govt agencies don't start buying in to Geocurve soon I will be writing to my MP. I'm sick of paying my taxes for poor infrastructure in the UK when there are obvious solutions like this to cut costs and get better quality data there is no excuse not to use it. Shalamar, It's all very encouraging. IMHO All the signs are there, everything is starting to line up nicely ready for AERO's 2nd coming. TB/NB at the helm, new Chairman shortly, approx 1M quid raised in OO, New equipment, new contract. Industry with projected exponential growth. .Possible acquisitions AI/Blockchain speculated. I'm feeling good about my chances now betting on AERO turnaround.
