The unions had already agreed to reduction in workforce from 2022 .. so like you say this has helped to cut the fat a lot quicker, and there was a LOT of fat. !!

In general anything like this is not good for the industry, the safety records and quality systems in place within all manufacturers are very high so not good to see, but fantastic to see all ok and obviously pleased its not a RR engine.

Most shares have spikes, and the last one for RR was the release of the first vaccine 1.35, iv always said 1.30 to 1.35 for May time with 1.50 Dec, but do not think you will see 2.00 mark until well in to 2022 / 23 ... would love to be wrong ! But realisticly ! only in my opinion of course .. keep smiling ...

You have to invest now as 7.00 will never be, due to the RI, IMO ... 2.00 is a 2023 price, I hope it rockets but this will be a slow mover for some time, its done great over the passed 2 days and hope it continues up, as I'm fed up with the 90's

We are where we are and its not going to move much until we are through the vaccine stage.
This share as always done its own thing, other than 9/11, the crash in 2009 and now !!! it moves with the market sentiment.
Iv seen it go down even when they've obtained major orders within the week of a Paris Air show, iv seen it hit 10.00 when RR had engine issues and fraud charges.
Over the last year its had its spikes, the last one when the first vaccine was passed, but I can't see any further spikes, and I can't see this getting to 0.50, I think we will see between 1.25 and 1.50 this year, and I'd like to see it rise a few points instead of losing 1 or 2 points each week, but like I said I don't think it will move much until summer.
RR have realised that they need a more balanced profit revenew and are moving towards that goal.

I don't think the share price is ready to move forward for some time and yes we may see this going red on Monday, but I think this will do what its been doing for several weeks.
The shut down is not good news but old news ... and the workers will still get paid, and the loss of two weeks pay avaraged out over 12 months, this is no difference to the share dividence being halted or the 2020 pay increase being differed.
I don't think there is any great concern and we need to keep our eye on the goal ... which is vaccine completion and a steady increase in flying hours.

Can you argue against professional analysts ... maybe, we are in an obsolutly dier situation with improvements in sight, and yet we have still reached (approx) 1.35, and a low of 0.85 .. so for this year, yes 1.57 is possible but a low of 0.42 I think is pushing it.

Plus the sale of ITP and others .. will be looking to bolster the funds by approx 2.5B so this should help to see them through into late 2022, they will also continue to obtain major orders.

Keepcalm, I would have said 2023 for a greatly improved share price, however I have read 2024 as a more realistic recovery position. I don't see this share price remaining at this level for to long and hopfully from May onwards you will start to see some recovery, we may get some spikes but these will level off ... so fingers crossed we don't see any major hiccups along the way.

Would be nice but dought you will see £2 this year .... lucky if you will see £1.50. IMO .. Hope im very wrong.

Clearly the lower the price the lower the risk but you also have to be realistic.
