Nobody can say what is the right or wrong thing to do, you have to decide and go with it, what's right for you is the main thing, always nice to maintain a profit but this is the stock market .... and none of us are perfect.
Last year on paper I was heavily down ! But the RI for me was a saving grace, and I'm able to hold, a loss is a loss but at the moment I'm all good.. hope the future is bright for us all ..

you are correct with your estimations, however personally i think the only way you will ever see £7 is if ... and it's possible, post 2023 to formulate a share buyback, I say post 2023 as the company needs to be in a stable position financially and can not see this happening until this period, especially has Rolls have already indicated that they would not consider div until 2023.

Stockready, I agree with your sentiment.. however these things do not happen overnight, and wile this pandemic has excelorated Rolls strategic thinking, development and getting product to market will take several years, how long, .. this I do not know, but working for Rolls I do know strategicly 5 plus years are not uncommon for new developments.

One thing you can say about Rolls is they will always invest for the future and never stand still, there strategic plans are long reaching and if anything this passed 18 months have forced them to re think re adjust and excelorate these plans, which will produce a stronger more profitable business.

At the very very best your looking at 3.00 and that's v long distance, earliest divi would be considered is 2023. So your estimate of 1.50 this year is about the best I can see, with 2.00 end of 2022, I'm still hoping for 1.30 to 35 for May June, which would set it up nicely for the 1.50 this year. "But who really knows" this share has always been a bit unpredictable with or without covid.
The sale of both businesses ITP etc would help to stabilise the finances for this year and in to next.

Anyone with an ounce of sense know that the corona virus is here to stay with yearly vaccines same as flue jabs.
Bad few days for shares... we all need to continue until things get better which it will, and we will see a winter break outs but will be kept under control with the vaccines, 2021 will be the start of the recovery world wide.
Just un-justified news panicking (as usual) which will continue to effect the shares, travel fines should have been put in place last year ( always on back foot) Imo

Beachfront, true it is pure conjececture, information known is only as good as the day it is formally announced and even then depending on the situation could change.
The stock market is run on all kinds of information and some misleading in order to control a certain share.
But (Imho) any buy up to 1.25 will produce a possitive positions this year, it depends on your own situation and financial position.. if you can hold then I would, and if you are not long term ( longer than 2021) then you should have some cash in the bank for Christmas presents !

Don't panic.. since 1st Feb its been down at 0.92 and up at 1.27 .. this year is going to be like this, until there is some stability within the world this and other shares will fluctuate.
And there will not be another RI .. for anyone that keeps bringing this little gem up ..

Thats spot on but the only other comment would be that it takes time for RR to start generating revenue from the re- start of long haul flights, its not an over night fenominum.
So other than the possible start up revenue from planes that have not been running, ie may need initial service, this will take well into 2022 before RR starts to see the benefits.
Share price will do well this year but its proven in past years that this share is quite volatile so who knows what will happen.

This share is never just going to just rise and rise its always going to have its bad days, 1.2.21 it was 0.94 .. so if it keeps doing what its doing I'll be well happy, its never great when you see it fall in this way, but its still a possitive week and that's all you need to see. Still maintain 1.30 / 35 May June with 1.50 Dec with potential to do better Q 4.

Another great day, it won't stay like this .. always ups and downs but going in the right direction and any downs should not be as severe as previous ones, sentiment is good at the moment
