RE: Christmas Roast27 Dec 2023 21:02
Sumo, if you hold Leon to book for his $2.50lb claim back in 2019 and add in your broad industry inflation over that period of circa 30% then you're at $3.25lb. Leon's numbers and his to beat.
This is what most of you never understood, producing copper concentrate was never the intended money spinner, it was the downstream process of cobalt separation from the cathode production at sable that was meant to be the money spinner.
Hence why the problem at roan was always the grade as they couldn't feed sable with enough material to make the end to end process commercially viable.
Until Leon sorts out the grade, the cost base will keep increasing in line with the increase in capacity. The more you process, the greater your costs. The greater the grade the cheaper your costs.
Hence why any sane minded investor here should be pressuring JLP to post quarterlies to an AISC standard. If they did then you might find JLP trading at a more respectable price that accurately reflects the status of it's operations.
