Contrary to the apparent opinion here debt is not actually paid/covered from profits.

Debt is serviced from free cash flow after CASH COSTS.. The formula for ascertaining whether or not a company can afford it's debt is an easy one... Cash costs + revenue.

In hums case, cash costs for 2 mines is circa 220million at group level and 165 ounces at average pog of 2200 equals 319million.

This is pretty basic stuff, derampers are going to have to try harder than this.

Re debt schedule, to extend maturity by 6 months the bank will want at least the interest due to be settled or they're right be happy to roll up that interest into principle amount. Which ultimately depends on affordability.
