Riddle me this20 Dec 2024 15:55
Just reflecting on the after hours RNS yesterday, there are a few things I cannot square off.
Maybe THE_CHUMP can help us understand.
If there is this new “institutional investor” (no laughing at the back) who wants a piece of TM1
and
If Century Cobalt / Stanbury think this share is about to roof it and multibag
Why would Century Cobalt / Stanbury sell shares to them at yesterday’s market value?
Why did the company not do a private placement at the market price, or if both sides of that trade were so convinced that the company was about to roof it and multibag, a private placement at a premium to the open market price???
Why was it a share transfer, not a share issue? Why did Century Cobalt / Stanbury actually materially REDUCE their holding yesterday?
Now rather like the related party carve-up last November (that we were told would lead to no selling – again no laughing at the back) and the CLG / Atlas death spiral facilities that followed it, I know plenty of reasons why you would structure a deal in this way (CLUE : par value is GBP 0.001 and there are 1.8B shares in issue). None of those are good for existing equity shareholders in Technology Minerals.
The best case scenario is that yesterday's price was fair value. There are a number of other scenarios worse than that for those already invested here.
But I cannot think of a single reason for this structure that enhances value to the existing equity in a way that the mugs are all assuming and asserting here today.
Make it make sense. What am I missing?
