Why #MPL could win on 14 January (their own words):
“We have made a credible and lawful offer to redeem the outstanding debt in full.”
“The Company has secured interim protection… thereby preserving the status quo.”
“The Supreme Court did not pass any adverse order against the Company.”
“MPL continues to enjoy the support of its major global stakeholders.”
Why that matters:
The courts have already protected the asset, the Supreme Court refused to intervene, and MPL is on record offering full repayment, not a haircut. That combination strongly supports a ruling that buys time, preserves equity, and allows refinancing to complete.
Bottom line:
This isn’t a dead company begging for mercy — it’s a strategic port asset that courts are actively protecting while MPL pushes a full-debt settlement. A favourable ruling would be a major de-risking event and a clear inflection point for the share price.
