I have been in and out of TLW for over 10 years now, held various amounts since 2019. I can’t recall ever seeing it being held in such a tight range in all that time, yes, I know volume has been terrible.

Do I think something is going on, yes! Am I saying this because Goethe bought a load, no! More that Glencore have given us the $400m facility, they must know what the plan is.

Is it Kenya, maybe, said my view on that last week.

RD has openly said TLW are not focusing on exploration, M&A into aging assets has his attention. We know they tried to bid for some assets recently (was it called Wintershall?), would not be surprised if the £400m was used to buy up a field or two, what that will do to the SP or the guidance for the year, who knows.

Probably wrong but my take on it. I really struggled to understand why the other two partners left, they’d invested so much, was it really not worth anything to them after all that time and money?

If a deal is done I don’t think we’ll end up with a massive bag of cash, rather a free run to production where we retain a certain percentage.

If that is the case lets look at the deal, we know the new partner will have to invest c.$3.4Bn so will want a fair chunk of the production, lets say 60%

We understand the government want c.20%

So where did that leave the original three partners, 100% - 60% - 20% only leaves 20% for the original three.

If that is the case then they would be getting between 20-24 kbopd based on 100-120 kbopd production. So 25% of this for the two minor partners would only be 5-6 kbopd, maybe this is why they walked, not worth their time? Bigger fish to fry?

So, in my mind this leaves TLW in a much stronger position, decisions are now a lot easier and we could end up with 20ish kbopd.

Just my view, probably a mile off but who knows.

Just done a dummy sell for 1.2M shares, it actually made me an offer of 30.99, never offered me a trade before for that volume in one go, they want your shares, HOLD!

I wonder if the so called consultants put a block on the project if we'll still be entitled to the $2Bn compensation? Sounds a bit like the given mentioned have found a loop hole should they decide not to progress.

Today has been disappointing to say the least, but you get used to it being a TLW holder, was the same for PMO for years then that came good. (For me I mean as sold around £1-1.10)

The thing I'm pished about is the Kenyan news, what the F are they doing? Do they really want this to happen. Did I hear they're about to issue more licenses as well, lots of encouragement there for companies to invest.

I'm with you SC, no one has still come up with a reasonable explanation for why total / Africa left. Looks like they might have made a good decision, no feedback from EPRA for 10 months (Mar 24) since they left. How stupid do I feel, honestly thought we were going to get news sep / Oct.

Morning, there was some discussion on here a while back on when a decision is expected, was it end Aug or end Sep?

So if the c.$2Bn development costs are recoverable against NOC's share once production starts, does that mean the the £3.4Bn required to get to production will also be recoverable in the same way?

No mention of Kenya, not even the standard statement. Does this mean news is imminent or things ain't going well????

What will happen if the Kenyan FDP is rejected? will we want to throw more money at it? If we walk away do we walk away with nothing because the Government hasn't given it the green light, we've spent a lot of money on the project, will we be entitled to any compensation from the Government?

So being positive, if we get a partner/s what deal do you think we'll end up with?

Anton, I had the same worry, why all of a sudden can they buy?

I was concerned that R Miller only bought small amount, was this to try and prop up the price? But today I feel much more confident, RD has put some decent skin in the game, yes I know he already has a shed load through his deal but its nice to see him out his hand in his pocket for a reasonable amount.
