Although the news was not very good I guess it was much better than expected and we are therefore seeing very good movement up today

Very comfortable to be in here, this could explode after the asessments in the 4th quarter and once they begin getting the Nickel out, there is real money here. Very undervalued at these leves, a bto like VGM, they are both real companies, not just based on false promises. No gurantees of course but a high level of certainty of doubling up or more within 12 months

I bought in on monday morning at 707 and delighted to see the movement the last few days. I admit on this one I am after a fairly short period 2-3 months and hoping for 15% plus the dividends. The fall did not refelct any thing realted to the performance of teh company so no reason we shouldnt get back to recent highs in that period. I love shares like this which has dropped too far on emotions instead of fundamentals, They (nearly) always move back, as for instance BP and more recently CPP. Always keeping an eye out for shares like that.

So many reasons why this share is great value. Good to see the rise yesetrday proabbly on the back of the buy reccomendation posted here. But this is a real company who have found real gold and actually are bringing it out of the ground in good volumes which are bound to grow.I believe conservatively this will double in the next 12 months and it is one of my safest investments for the future

ex divi date today and drop is less than dividend so holding up very well

keep reaching new highs every day (inthe present cycle) without any apparent news. Up over 20% since results which cant be ba dbut please let us continue this trend. Still time to get in and geta good dividend before ex-dividend date next week. Very quiet on this site but I guess as long as we keep going in one direction and tehre is now much news we can just stay quiet and pat each either on our backs and our wallets. With a lot of other shares falling a lot (especially AIM shares) over the last month or two HRG is a breath of fresh air and at least inmy portfolio their rise more thancancels the fall of others but hopefylly the others have reached bottom now and will turn as well. hIghest quote for nearly 4 years and tremendous rise over the last 2 weeks. Obviously the results, the dividend and the futrue looke very good and they were tipped at 100 p over the weekend,s o even though the volume is minimal there are no sellers and only buyers and that is pushing the price up steadily. I wonder where we will go but if we can reach 90-100 over the next 12 months I will be a very happy bunny and might even consider slling some , but still too early

Agree with this asessment and think tahtmost peopel will hold. Certainly no reason to sell, all indicators pointing towards better results and higher dividends in the coming years, but dont think we will se the old 50 or 100% increase from these levels, at least not the next 2 years except of course a bid comes in or they take it private again which I could easily see them do. I am holding at least to SP of 75 and will then decide if I sele portion of them and they could reach that this year.

thansk for keeping us up to date with everything that went on yesterday. I was out all day but see that it went as hoped and perdicted. Great numbers all roundand the SP spiked and then stablised. I guess it justified the rise we have seen thelast few months. Next year looks good as well so if we can build a nice base at 60 we could move ahead to 70-75 over the next 6 months whcih would be fine for me.This is all obvioulsy without takeover news which could happen any time. Anyway debts down, fiannaces in place, cost under control, even the pension deficit imporved slightly. Now we just need themragin improved but that is not easy in this business> I do think HRG has found a lot of the right answers in the corporate travel industry, might need some more strength in the Americas but am really hopeful for this company and this share for the future. Would like to see 2 in dividends next eyar but for now 1.5 and above 4% will do nicely

GL to all Hoggers for teh results tomorrow morning, should be good or even very good. Also expect an increase in dividends and lower debts. Only question mark remisn the pension deficit. Results day normally doenst do much on the price, will be quite happy anywhere between 56 and 60. Been away and very busy lately so have had to follow from a distance. Hope some of you manged to top up on the recent pause for breath. Looks like the pause is over and it is steaming ahead to day, hopefully all the way up to 60 p so we are ready for results on the 25th May which I expect will be near record levels, increased dividend and hopefully an improvement in pension fund. I fthat is the case we should consolidate above 60 and start moving towards where we were befor the crisis 80-90 p

1 transaction before 4pm, then it went carzy with 60 transactions after 4 with all but 2 buys which got the price up by over 5%. Have no idea what is going on, have given up trying to interpret this share but as long as it keep going up, i shouldn't really ask any questions. There has been no news and results are still over a month away, but the way the last 3 months have gone I can only assume that pretty sincere negotiations are taking palce over either a takeover or a private buyout, but I would love to know a bit more. I said a long time ago that I wouldnt take profit before we got to 60. We are here now and i can't get myself to do it, so sitting in for 80 or any news of takeover before I decide what to do, but must say the profit looks amazing in my portfolio, just hate the 28% tax that is payable on the profit.

Makes sense, by transferring the shares he can spread the capital gains tax. Never knew that he was married to teh marathon runner :-)

somebody is playig games out there. Enormous amounts of transactions between 37 and 40 shares which is normally something the MMs do when they are sending signals to each other. I cant interpret what the signals are saying, but if anyone cna help I would like to know. very exciting times, though

Not sure what is really going on with the company or with the market, These are extremely large fluctuations for a company where very few shares are in circualtion as major sharehodlers, management, institutions and people like us who coudlnt dream of selling sit on abou 90% of the shares. I am convinced something is going on behind the scenes, results are not due for a couple of months and 25% increase for a share that has already increased so much can only happen if there is some speculation that the takeover/privatisation we have been waiting for is closer than ever. Both BCD and DNATA are now in considerable profit is they decide to sell tehir shares but who will blink first. Following this with keen interest, we might be clsoer to teh end game and certainly we are closer to a substantial profit for all of us

As quickly as it went up it is going down today but again without any logical explanantion. More buying than selling to day and still down about 5 points. I am really not concerned at all, it was proabbly too much too fast and I am convinced we will back at 60 and higher in due course

have looked everywhere about any news why we are 20% up this week and only found a one-liner in Express stating vague bid speculation. If this is the effect of vague speculation where will go when it is for real. Otherwise the increase seems to have gone under the radar of all commentators. Holding steady today, I for one am not complaining. have a great weekend

sorry, have not looked at SOU and I am already heavy into Oil in a few other shares. BEM has done very well for me, a bit of a rollercoaster but all in all looking good. have also done very well with SAR. I am now trying to work on how I avoid the dreaded capital gains tax, nice problem to have but trying to juggle my shares a bit. It will be a big hit when I finally sell HRG (which I have no plans of doing) but of course it will be a big profit as well
