Sadly that a fair observation. My parents both originated from North India. Mums side moved to Indonesia just after WW2. Ive traveled there half a dozen times over the last 40+ year and its a great country with breath taking scenery and landscapes.

Garuda airlines were pretty shaky and I belieive they were not allowed to use Heathrow, Im not even sure they are still flying. Air asia a bit sketchy, think they had a crash a couple of years ago.

Our last internal flight was 2018 between Surabaya and Bali, that was with Air Batik and they seemed on the ball. Im not a nervous flyer so long as I have had a couple of vodka's to take the edge but I felt safe on that. In fact felt better than the Cathway Pacific flight from HKIA down to Surabaya.

Apologies going off topic and the name dropping. Too much time on my hands, flipping lockdown.

I was also wondering why the SP hasnt reacted.

The obvious bashing of pans by lawyers bring attention to it with headling grabbing figures freshly plucked from bum bums.

Also, do BA outsource their IT? Does that in turn that they are accountable for any breaches?

Soon as the vulnerable are covered most of us in younger age are simply not worried about covid. Our worry is catching it and passing it on.

Im more worried about losing my luggage than catching covid on a beach. Im more likely to be stung by a jelly fish.

As much as the figures have increased most people still dont know they have it.

Sounds flippant but I see people every day shovelling crap down their faces and they dont seem to worry about heart disease.

I dont doubt there will be alot of people in no rush to travel for whatever reason but I feel there will be enough that do. And many taking/booking multiple trips even if some of those booking are for flight in 2022. You only have to look at the queue at Primark when that reopened.

If the EU have any sense they will look at our model, they can steal it and take credit for all I care so long as the world starts spinning again. I would hope the tourist regions will want to be ahead of the curve to secure as much tourism as they can.

I expect restrictions, travel corridors around the world to channel the demand in the summer to certain routes. If we are out of this by the winter and people can book pretty much freely I would expect unpresidented (sorry for using that overused term) demand for winter city breaks to the states especially with the pound getting stronger. That should price into the share price in the summer. What I am hoping/expecting, over the course of the next 6 months is spikes and pull backs to decent support levels on the back of continuing freedom of movement and economic recovery.

Some of that may be down to lack of options but pent up demand does seem to be there. As the EU start to learn from others such as us and Isreal on how to roll out a vaccine at speed things will open up.

Boris and co now need to keep with the momentum and once we see speed in roll out gain traction so will interest in travel stocks.

I dont know how much experince some of the "shorters" have on here so appologies if I am patronising anyone.

But, me personally I never short unless an indice, FTSE 100, DAX etc is priced for perfection and at all time highs. Such as start of 2020. I only shorted the MiB but went all cash just before the pandemic truely kicked off.

Short any travel/leasure stock now would take a serious set of gonads, stupidity or playing with someone elses money.

I think with whatamess crawling out his own backside the other day has given support!

Surely you know about the limitations due to temperature control on the first Phiezer Vaccine. Could only really be given via hospitals.

The Oxford one can be kept in my beer cooler.

I find those that kick off if on occassion I think the price is due a pull back or look for balance lack emotional restraint. Which is not good for investing.

Never a true word said. Anyone who thinks comments on here have a noteable influence on price is a novice.

What seems to have an impact on more than a dozen occassions is the price falling when I buy or continuing to rise when I sell.

I really do feel for the businesses and people out there that have srtuggled to earn a crust. And Im no means being smug.

But not being able to take a holiday last year or spend much in general has built up a sizeable pot relative to me, a pittence for many, and I am keen to inject that into the travel and leasure economy with vigour!!

As impossible as holidays feel there will be demand.
