I haven't given it to anyone for ages because new anticancer drugs* have come along since but it was the best in its day so I'll give you that. Trust me; I'm a doctor.

It doesn't seem a particularly sophisticated targetting method, but you never know - they're spending money on it.

"This study will combine focused ultrasound to generate heat, and a heat-sensitive chemotherapy drug (ThermoDox®), delivered into the blood of participants with non-resectable pancreatic cancer. We will compare this to standard delivery of chemotherapy - the drug Doxorubicin given into the blood without the addition of ultrasound. We aim to determine whether the novel approach to delivering chemotherapy with heating the tumour by focused ultrasound can enhance the amount of drug delivered to pancreatic tumours. This will be measured by analysing a biopsy sample of treated tumour."

ThermoDox is a thermally sensitive liposomal doxorubicin formulation.

Just to be clear though, you say you spoke to someone at the Marsden who was involved in the Avacta trial who told you trials don't always work out the way you want them to. But you still have your Avacta holding.

That person would have been involved in several drug trials, now and in the past, may not have been referring specifically to te Avacta trial and, in any case, Phase 1a trials are not for curing cancer.

I'm not particularly bothered by this, and I guess you're not either as you still hold when you had the opportunity to get out around 140 and buy back in later at a much lower price for all the other Avacta shots on goal if the SP does take a dip after - if the person at the Marsden was indeed talking about AVA6000 - any less than good trial data.

How many rounds were you expecting this trial to go? How many has Avacta historically talked about?

How many rounds do you think is normal to find RP2D or MTD?

Please point to just ONE pharma company that gives a blow by blow account of the progress of just ONE clinical trial.

If you think this should be happening for clinical trials then you are investing in the wrong sector for your nerves.

Well it's certainly true that no news is no news. Whether that is good or bad depends on your position.

Could be the new Preclinical Director will have lots of projects to work on - hopefully.

Do Avacta need to RNS the completion of C4? I think not. It was destined to end at some time. What would be market sensitive information would be what comes next, DE4 and/or date when the Phase 1a readout will be presented.

When was the Doosan news published? There's no date on it.

2,106,980 were issued under the Open Offer (RNS of 18 October).

As 255,267,919 (RNS of 14 April) x 3 / 365 = 2,098,092 we know that the OO was available to all shareholders not just pis, some extra shares having been issued since 14 April to make the number up to 2,106,980 OO shares.

In fact, the majority of new shares issued under the OO went to iis, not pis. So the iis won twice @ 95p, once with the book build and then again with the Open Offer.
