Haha I've never left this board, I am currently uninvested though I swear!

Using google trends it looks as if the interest in ASOS has stopped declining now and there is even a recent spike up; Feb 2026 is looking better than Feb 2025. I haven't looked at how correlated google trend interest is with revenues, but it could be a good sign.

There also seems to be a lot of resistance around the £2.80 mark, and no notable shorts have opened recently; might be time for me to get back in.

I haven't yet! I fully ported my portfolio into Gold/Silver 50/50 split and haven't regretted it. Managing it carefully and taking profits along the way. Aiming to get back in here before the end of March.

Wouldn’t it be insider trading if barker knew about an imminent offer and is purchasing off that information? What else makes you think an offer is inbound?

I’m so mixed on this investment. I’m still shopping with ASOS fairly regularly and the experience is always super easy; any issues get resolved very fast by their customer service team. I’ve recently left a good review on Trustpilot, only to find the overwhelming majority of recent reviews are very negative. I know review sites tend to swing to the negative side, but comparing to Shein, Next etc ASOS are by far the most negative. It is quite worrying to see this as an investor, yet my own experience contradicts what I’m seeing.

We may be waiting for that growth in sales for a long time. I know it doesn't directly translate to sales but Google Trends is showing that Asos searches have declined by roughly 15% when comparing 01/09/2025 - today to the same period in 2024.

Total equity = total assets - total liabilities

Equity per share = total equity / number of shares

This is also known as book value (just found out - sorry!), and it’s usually used for calculating the intrinsic value of the company based on the balance sheet. It’s not a perfect calculation.

Just did a quick calculation.

Boohoo / Debs equity per share is £0.0029 per share, SP current trading around £0.2175 per share, so they're trading roughly 75x their equity per share.

ASOS equity per share is £1.78 per share, SP currently trading around £2.46, so we're trading roughly 1.38x our equity per share.

Pretty insane difference, its the equivalent of the ASOS SP being around £134. Maybe this shows that equity per share doesn't actually mean anything but value it personally.

ASOS market cap now around £30million lower than BOOHOO/DEBS

In my mind ASOS is a much larger company globally, revenues are a lot higher, revenue declines of ASOS are lower, equity on the balance sheet of BOOHOO/DEBS is A LOT lower. The turn around seems to be progressing more quickly here - correct me if I'm wrong.

The only stand out thing I can see is that the adjusted loss before tax of ASOS is a lot more negative, however this would have nicely positive if it wasn't for the impairment from the mothballing of the Atlanta site. I can't see anything that makes BOOHOO/DEBS a more attractive investment.

Please let me know if I've missed anything big / obvious that would argue to the contrary - I'm not going to act like I know everything about these companies.

Only £40million difference in market cap now. It’s insane.
