If you had been reading my posts I compared Lloyds Div and yield and pe ratio favourably to Barclays and RBS. They look a marvellous investment whatever the political outcome is just a shade too conservative compared to the days of the great Brian Pittman

The low export figure was an aberration being 245 Swiss francs in the same month imports were only 273 yet the biggest month the figures were 19158 and 17768 resepctively

OK I concede your point. But the CRH buy back is rather different from Lloyds as they have returned actual cash to shareholders whereas Lloyds is relying on the SP increasing which may or may not happen. Remember the old adage "profit is a question of opinion but cash is a matter of fact!"

I think you are wrong. My research indicates that such shares have no further value and may not be re-issued, Prepared to be proved wrong if you can find the legislation.
