Looking at the Sunday Times and Mail on Sunday comment pages there are thousands of very angry UK citizens who have now found out what we already knew that the LF tests are being mass produced in China. The story was also shared over 3,500 times. At last people are starting to cotton on to the scandal. Keep the pressure going and hopefully the UK diagnostics sector will benefit at last.

Good to see Sir John Bell in the Daily Mail and on Radio 4 talking up the importance of LFTs.

'My view is that lateral flow tests are quite a good way of marking who is infectious and who isn't and, as you know, we've dropped from 10 days to seven days if you have sequential lateral flow tests.
'That is a much better way to measure and quantitate whether we are allowing people to go back into the community who are infectious.'
Pressed on whether he would back a five day quarantine, he said: 'If it was supported by lateral flow data, yes.'

Sir John, an immunologist who has advised the Government on Covid, said Britain could go even further and replicate the US by relying on lateral flow tests. He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme the swabs are 'quite a good way of marking who is infectious and who isn't'.

Yes, great news: “We have received significant purchase orders for manufacturing batches from Avacta, in advance of completion of technical transfer” …..”we are putting in place the required component stock to allow us to seamlessly move into manufacturing”. Plus in the same RNS this sentence: “On 30 September 2021 Avacta PLC ("Avacta") as part of their full year results presentation noted that their AffiDx® SARS-CoV-2 lateral flow test was in the process of transfer to Abingdon to allow commercial product to be manufactured”.

The AVCT news today is also brilliant for ABDX. In our prelims RNS of 18th November ABDX stated:

“We have received significant purchase orders for manufacturing batches from Avacta, in advance of completion of technical transfer” …..”we are putting in place the required component stock to allow us to seamlessly move into manufacturing”.

Plus in the same RNS this sentence:

“On 30 September 2021 Avacta PLC ("Avacta") as part of their full year results presentation noted that their AffiDx® SARS-CoV-2 lateral flow test was in the process of transfer to Abingdon to allow commercial product to be manufactured”.

Licencing and takeover partners will require exactly this kind of security to be concluded before any commercial transaction with Sareum. i.e. it is game on for Sareum investors.

Don’t forget the recent quote from Sareum too: "These patents are important to enhancing the value of the programme as part of our discussions with potential partners”. Says it all for me.

There’s also the recent messaging from John Reader: "The granting of this patent in the US completes the protection of the intellectual property for our proprietary SDC-1802 Programme across all major markets. The Board believes that the patent will enhance the value of its TYK2/JAK1 inhibitor programmes..."

Great shareholder value is being created here for Sareum investors and if you use the Kymab sale to Sanoffi model for extracting a value for Sareum moving forward it equates to approx 30p+ a share but if you factor in the Otezla deal of $13 billion in cash, which Thoth and others have flagged up then that would equate to over £1+ a share for Sareum shareholders - if we were the target of a takeover approach.

Yes Fearg, the tipping point is fast approaching. You don't come out and say that we have a profile superior to the anti-inflammatory steroid Dexamethasone and not get significant interest from global pharmaceutical companies. Sareum became hot property in our sector following that July 1st RNS. We should hear soon about a licencing deal for SDC1801 and possibly 1802 and an update on 737 plus there's the real possibility of a takeover. There is so much to get excited about here. The fact that SNG001 treatment led to a threefold likelihood of recovery and the longer this is protracted the bigger the price SNG will be capable of demanding from a big pharmaceutical company. When you investigate the licencing and takeover deals that have happened in our sector recently you will see that many are substantial billion pound deals. At the top end Amgen paid $13 billion in cash for Otezla whilst earlier this year a smaller deal was for UK minnow Kymab, who were sold to Sanoffi for £1.4 billion. We operate in a multi billion sector and once the data is published the value of Synairgen could and should be in the billions. The key point is that we know from the data that SNG001 boosts lung defences. That is why Richard Marsden and Sir Stephen Holgate have been talking up "a real breakthrough for UK science". The key message today is clearly: "The results showed a clear inhibition of tumour progression for the groups where Nuvec® was loaded with TNF alpha pDNA when compared to the other three groups. In addition, the use of Nuvec® was shown to improve animal survival rates in the life of the study.

These excellent findings show that injection of a TNF alpha plasmid loaded onto Nuvec® into tumour bearing mice successfully leads to the transfection and release of TNF alpha which results in the suppression of tumour growth and increased survival rates".

UK government announces partnership with British rapid test manufacturers
Two major contracts secured with British manufacturers to ensure the supply of COVID-19 lateral flow tests.

• Supply of tests will support government’s plan to cautiously ease restrictions by helping to stop the spread of the virus
• New contracts will create more than 500 jobs across the UK
Two British companies have secured contracts with the government to supply rapid lateral flow tests, which will help prevent the virus from spreading and stop outbreaks from taking hold as restrictions are carefully lifted.
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has agreed contracts with:
• Omega Diagnostics, headquartered in Alva in Scotland
• Global Access Diagnostics, based in Thurleigh
to provide manufacturing capacity for up to 200 million COVID-19 lateral flow antigen tests, which detect positive cases quickly – in under 30 minutes – meaning positive cases can isolate immediately, breaking chains of transmission.
Around one in three people who have coronavirus do not have symptoms, so to help stop them from unknowingly passing it on, regular rapid testing is essential to find more positive cases. Lateral flow tests are helping children go back to school, keeping healthcare staff safe and making sure businesses can reopen. Including symptomatic and asymptomatic testing programmes, today the government is on track to surpass 100 million tests carried out in the UK.
The contracts are expected to create around 470 additional jobs in total, in Alva in Scotland, Thurleigh in Bedfordshire, and more widely across the production line and wider UK supply chain.

Rapid lateral flow tests are essential to help us identify cases of the virus we otherwise wouldn’t find and preventing the virus spreading in our workplaces and communities.
These tests will help keep businesses open, our children return to school, people to visit their loved ones in care homes safely.

The above comment is the really exciting message for Webis share holders in the latest RNS issued this week. Here is the relevant paragraph from the audited figures:

This is why the share price is just going to carry on rising over the next 12-18 months. it is certainly possible that Webis could multi bag quite easily to 40p in the run up to sports betting being given the OK next year in California & or ongoing M&A activity in the sector. Tym's Pyramid Silver-Gold Project in Nevada RNS confirms the following today:

"Analytical results from a recently completed surface sampling and mapping programme continue to return high-grade silver and gold grades. The majority of these new samples were collected over a wide area along the recently established zone of silver mineralisation at the North Ruth target. North Ruth has a target strike length of at least 530 metres (announced 14 October 2021)". Looking more and more interesting.

The Highlights today are:
· Rock chip and grab samples collected during further detailed mapping programme
· Analytical results reporting significant1 silver mineralisation in 34 of 37 samples
· 4 high-grade2 samples reporting silver grades of 1,286 g/t, 889 g/t, 522 g/t and 513 g/t
· Includes 4 samples reporting gold grades of 2.72 g/t, 1.67 g/t, 1.30 g/t and 1.20 g/t
· Mapping and sampling providing key input to modelling and design of drill programme

Managing Director Patrick Cullen is quoted in the RNS today as follows: "These are very encouraging results and include the highest silver grades we have sampled at North Ruth to date. While silver is the primary target, it is also excellent to see the presence of reportable gold grades. We have steadily built our dataset and our understanding of the North Ruth target over a series of work programmes. This has allowed us to identify mineralised structures with increasing confidence, as reflected in these results. I have been on site with our geologist in Nevada over recent days, examining previous work and planning for an upcoming drill program and I look forward to providing updates."

I like the look of TYM as a significant multi bag opportunity.
