A big jump in the ABDX share price could be just around the corner. At the time of the run up to and announcement of the launch of the ABDX Antibody Self Test in August'21 the share price climbed on 17th August'21 from 26.50p to 85.50p by the 24th August'21. A x 3 increase within 7 days. The UK's first ever saliva-based pregnancy test is a game changer for ABDX. The market is massive for home pregnancy testing: 12.5 million tests in the UK alone each year. The current ABDX share price will be regarded as a bargain soon. Exactly. This could be very big for ABDX and its shareholders as there are 12.5 million home pregnancy tests completed in the UK each year. Once the investment community starts to cotton on about Salistick, the UK's first ever saliva-based pregnancy test, then 25p a share will be looked on as a bargain soon. We should hear news soon....

The fact that 2.6million homeowners in the UK are to pay thousands of pounds more annually when their fixed rates end over the next year will have a positive impact on bank profits and consequently the share prices of players such as Lloy, NWG, HBOS and Barc in particular....

Not suggesting, by the way, that they will pay their average of about 1.5p to buy it / take it private. Just highlighting that Robert Keith / Charles Street were paying 5p ish back in 2021 for their GFIN shares. Presumably they must have seen something they liked back then....?

What we do know from the holdings / TR1's is that Charles Street / Robert Keith have been investing in GFIN since at least May 2021 - so not just a recent attempt to buy in cheap - as the share price when he started acquiring the holdings in GFIN was over 5p. Even with his recent buying at much lower prices it would appear that the current average price Charles Street / Robert Keith paid is going to be somewhere over 1.5p...

With Frasers silently waiting in the wings following their significant share purchases in BWNG it will be interesting to see when and if they finally table a bid or announce a similar strategic stake in BWNG. All under the radar so far but perhaps the announcement today of their 18.9% AO stake is stage 1 of them showing their hand in this sector.....

The main point to digest is that $85 Million upfront for a licencing deal would be a game changer for Sareum (and its shareholders) - as would the potential to take it to $2 Billion on milestone payments! i.e. Sareum is lining itself up nicely for a big licencing or takeover deal with SRA737 / SDC 1801 and SDC 1802. The AZ deal with Quell today makes being a Sareum investor even more compelling. You only have to peruse the recent JP Morgan research note regarding the high level of R&D licencing deals in the pharma sector to see that Sareum shareholders will be in for a big pay day in due course....

AZ has announced today that it is paying $2 Billion in its latest deal, this time partnering with small bio company, Quell Therapeutics. The announcement today just goes to show you how much a licencing deal for SRA737 or SDC1801/1802 could be worth. Summary below:

* Quell will receive $85 million upfront from AstraZeneca, which comprises a predominant cash payment and an equity investment.

* Quell is also eligible to receive over $2 billion for further development and commercialisation milestones, if successful, plus tiered royalties.

* AstraZeneca announces agreement with Quell Therapeutics to develop, manufacture and commercialise engineered T-regulatory cell therapies for autoimmune diseases

* Collaboration focused on Type 1 Diabetes and Inflammatory Bowel Disease using Quell's proprietary multi-modular T-regulatory cell engineering

This could be Sareum soon....

Yes, something doesn't feel right about the very upbeat guidance dated 31st March and the announcement yesterday. Two months ago they were reporting revenue up by 106% over the last 6 months to £4.1m and we know that Robert Keith has added to his holding in GFIN taking it up to 12.02%. Like you, I do wonder if an MBO or bid at a bargain basement price is being planned? That said, 1p a share would still represent excellent value for the buyers based on the RNS dated 31st March 2023.

Robert Keith, the hi-tech investor best known for Eidos (Lara Croft), holds 318,477,778 shares in GFIN (12.02%). I wonder if he is going to increase his holding for a possible bid? He sold his business, Fast Search & Transfer, to Microsoft for $1.2bn. A bid for GFIN of over 1p would probably be accepted at the moment. One to watch...

Exactly. On 31st March they reported revenue up by 106% over the last 6 months. i.e. H1 Revenue of £4.1m (H1 FY22: £3.3m), up 26% year on year and up 106% on the previous six-months. Plus GFIN guided the market that revenue at the esports business was up 70% year on year to £2.5m (H1 FY22: £1.5m). Plus Robert Keith (Eidos / Lara Croft) took a 12.02% holding in GFIN recently. He is a serious investor and one to watch having sold his business, Fast Search & Transfer, to Microsoft for $1.2bn, I wonder if an MBO or bid at a bargain basement price is on the cards / being planned? Something doesn't feel right about the very upbeat guidance dated 31st March and the announcement today, just 2 months later ......
