Where do you get your figures?, our youth unemployment is actually average in 15-25 age group for Europe. Several countries exceed 20%. It is a growing issue not just for the UK.

I am not an expert . My research over several years has raised the issue of 'sinking a mine ' or reopening an existing one. Often in Cornwall a museum turned back into an operating mine. I have owned shares since 2022 but I always sensed the real 'cost' is when sinking or reopening a mine has to be considered. Opening a mine is not cheap and is not easy for small firms. I don't think the inflated share price predicted last year will happen any time soon.

You are right. I've been in here, since April 2022, had to check back!. My very limited experience is on two fronts. Firstly the point at which starting or re opening a mine eats the cash and the danger that 'sharks' are waiting for the point at which it could be easy pickings. I'm no expert at this business but I am aware, to keep an eye, on the danger point ahead.

I invested in this company for years, sold at a profit and earlier this year bought back in. Janet Thornton, the founder, left recently in rather speedy circumstances but no indication of any disagreements . The company has only once lowered its annual two dividend payments in order to purchase another firm. I expect good results again in Sept.
In fact my divi is always set to buy more shares.

I'm happy to see subsidies for small farmers in France. The countryside is far better than some of the monster farms appearing in the UK. Macron has to change many of the ingrained ideas about work in France and the early retirement . Its nice to retire early but as with everything someone has to pay for it.

Breton comes simply from our second home near Plouray in Brittany. I'm still interested in where the 1.5b Lloyds is spending would have gone if they had made a 2-1 swop . Just interested.

Can you explain where the 1.5b of money would go if you 2-1 ?. I assume the 'Broker' is making plenty out of this. To my recollection RBS didn't spend anything like that to achieve a 10-1. Look forward to your comments.

Maybe, but I would have reduced Lloyds to 35b shares without the payment . Surely Lloyds would have more cash??. yes /no?

Some years back RBS did a 10-1 swop. I was a long holder of shares but over the last twelve months RBS have paid or about to pay 26p divi. They at least pay shareholders back after a windfall.
I'm no expert but why is Lloyds paying billions in share buy back with our money?> surely a 2-1 swop putting a price of 85-95p a share would be better. Look forward to understanding why or why not.

Good option to buy Lloyds and RBS.

As long as you hold the shares on the DE Date , I think 22nd March you will get all the dividend promised . Ordinary is 3.5p and Special 7.5p both paid on 30th April. Most company's pay out in this way .

Not a lot for shareholders that were promised a dividend in 2013. I disagree that local authorities are behind the curve unless the Southeast is just slow. Such retirement schemes, ( villages) are becoming the norm . For a company that has failed year on year to deliver any dividend at all and seems to struggle to complete small developments I'll need better facts to reinvest having given up last year and sold at a loss.

I sold out when the shares spiked and then decided to buy back in so I'm happy to hold. Did the same with Inspired Energy although they are showing a loss at present and Tavistock. Missed Tern, sold at 13.7p only to watch them hit 57p?. Bought back in at 34p. Stilo is a well balanced firm with a good steady management . I'm surprised peole that don't like them just sell out and move on. I've lost money on RM2, Premier Foods, Circle Oil, but best to put it behind you and move on.

I'm happy having sold out then bought back in. More than happy to hold this year.
