Greyhound program is progressing well having restarted from scratch today on my new front end.
Fed up with concocting java, jquery,vbscript, debuggers,device type etc and falling foul of mixing domains internet security.
It was navigating perfectly (after a week) and the data was on the screen plus it was viewable via inspect or debug watches (needed hyperlinks to get at screens). Working alone, everything is trial and error!

The security is to stop remote sites accessing stuff on local sites e.g. passwords and account nos.
Having to run everything from a single domain probably means I'd never have got it working. I used an iframe to download screens and another section to navigate i.e. different domains.

Today I found there is a VB development system embedded in Studioafter 3GB download and installation.
I'm a happy bunny writing stand alone programs except the experience probably won't help me solve other people's problems.

This is 100% FAKE and was not a message from Mozilla or the Firefox web browser. Do not give them any personal information or send them any money by any means. Variations of this sort of scam has existed for a long time, not for Firefox users but in general.

Mozilla does not do any so called surveys with claims that you have won or will receive insert expensive prizes as the two main variations have been for a iPhone X or a $1000 gift card.

Mozilla has done surveys over the years by way of http://qsurvey.mozilla.com which is surveygizmo.com however no prizes were given.

Those of us that have stuck with this since the heady days of £7 per share probably never bought many at those prices.
Now that this low number are priced at 3p they are worth chicken droppings. Given you can get over 200 shares for the price of one it only needs the price to rise to 7p to make 200*4p or £8 for each original share of £7 or less.
And, of course, the originals will be worth more than double what they were at 3p.

Back to my greyhound racing program - debugging javascript is such a pain - Visual Studio allows almost any errors to go through unflagged. Too difficult to know what will work I expect - as I am finding!
Had to abandon the EDGE browser and use Firefox for much better debugging .... at least I can see my data on the screen - all I have to do is navigate to it via programming code.

Bought a HP I5 with 8Gb and 1Tb hard disk (unfortunately) rather than an SSD.
A few years ago I wrote a Greyhound information system, intending to predict losers, for a friend to lay (his life is not all like that).

I had to learn about the dogs but could not get away from finding the winner instead of a loser (or 5 losers perhaps).

Testing showed 60% of my selections were winning. It was too tempting so I ended up putting £2 £3 £5 on my selections. My betfair account (for horses) had £4 in it and 5 weeks later it had over £4k.

I started showing the trainers and from there I don't know what happened and I gave back £3k before the Racing Post introduced compulsory logins! Could not access their system from asp.net because of the password so could not download fixtures and lifetime form to my database.

So never got as far as predicting losers with his magic formula , that I never saw!

Had to use a database because races come quickly and the internet was downloading slowly in those days.

Anyway, I have loads of time on my hands now and just me and the hound to consider so I am back on it.

The login is no more but downloading the form is proving difficult. From browser it downloads to screen easily, but from asp.net download I fall foul of the blessed checks for phone type etc and localhost!!!!

Studio has dropped vbscript (documentation etc) but supports it's use so I am being compromised there too.

Takes my mind off things - not sure if that is good or bad :O)

We have such a great story here - it just needs to be told well - proven MD and CEO on previous projects, current project every bit as good as his previous successes - shysters make something out of nothing - we just need our true story to be told well.

The lateral drilling is surely more difficult than podding but was there a good reason to shout it from the rooftops? I bet Tony knew this before he even decided to give Botswana a go! Nobody expects it to be easy but we have experts on the job - it is what they expect - no sweat!

One last point on the podcast, I really did not like the way Colm stressed that the pods were easier to drill than the horizontal connections several times. It sounded like he was warning of troubles ahead which is not exactly going to lift the share price. It belittles the progress to date imho

Solomon is impressive but if I was Tony Gilby I'd employ a professional speaker and give him a script for the Podcast. Interactive meetings would not be suitable for an actor so Tony himself and/or Solomon would be necessary. People with alliterative names are an alliterative "No No" for me.

I guess our guys split their time between Oz and Botswana and the front man may just be the most convenient one.
The board seem to be money conscious so wasting it on air fares for a short interview may go against the grain.

Public speaking is difficult for many able scientists so Colm may well be brilliant for TLOU away from the microphone. He just needs to be more concise (less repetitive) and practice the word electricity :O)

How can they put a value on the contracts?
Our partners cannot sell anything until they have an agreement .
Can so many newcomers all be wrong in thinking they have a potential business on the back of their agreements.
I am optimistic that the hoped for rush for broadband is quite a few stages nearer.
