Never posted a worthwhile post in his life but criticises evrything.

I wondered if the filtered one was from him or Matt , and then remembered I took the filter off the latter.

There was a message about white toes for everybody out there - dial 999 if the foot goes numb, severe pain in th leg that cannot be relieved by any position or pressure point , and the foot goes whites INCLUDING toe-nails ... what alerted my GP first time round.

Without the GP warning above I would now have lost a leg above the knee, and I thought he was exaggerating like most guys would. South Street probably more than most .... effing idiot!

I am not even tempted to log out and see what he said - not worth the time and trouble!

I am not the only sceptic - final paragraph could be questioning the validity? We have 10 and have been public knowledge so why isn't their 5 public knowledge?

Sekaname , really Kalahari Energy? , are registered in Botswana in a smoke and mirrors operation.

I found this article from 2014 which can be interpretted as they will do nothing until getting a good contract as I believe.

They are talking being operational in 20 months with a staff of 45 people so far working not for sekaname who have no known directors listed against them.

Tony reckoned newcomers were 2 years behind Tlou some time ago.
If they have continued drilling etc then maybe they are competition long term but then it may have been me that bought the 2 lottery tickets :O)

I think you are both wrong - I think we'll be given whatever we want and Sekaname will be offered nought.
Either that or they will be offered the residue with severe time restrictions after which the offer will be withdrawn.

I fully expect Sekaname to renege if they get anything short of 100Mw , and fail if they do get it.

I put a link on here a while ago in which Tlou was mentioned in some detail but Sekaname did not warrant a mention at all.

Was so lucky the GP, 3 or 4 years ago, told me if it happens again (toe nails go white) ring 999 , you could lose the leg! Nearly lost it anyway and I called within 30 minutes of the pain coming on. Frightening! Last time it went away after about 90 minutes and then I sent an email letter to the Dr. and, at his behest ,drove down to see him.

He has retired since so I sent an email to the surgery to forward on to him, thanking him.
Thought how nice it would be to hear what he had achieved in my case.

Whatever the figure for 10Mw, he said it would fund the expansion to 20Mw, and from thereon the same again to whereever we end up.
I have never invested in a more sensible man ... if there is bad news he tells us, if there is good news he qualifies it with potential offsets .... just seems like an honest to goodness feller ... add that to a proven history of success .... and all that is left to worry about is the government.

That is the exciting thing , his message was that the 3 phases for procurement had risen from 0% to near 90% in one go. The govt does not tell if stages have been approved or disapproved during the process which must be torture for the companies involved? Where's me bank card?

While I was in hospital I saw the Tony Gilby interview and was pig sick I don't have any finance details on my phone to buy immediately.
Tony's whole demeanour was that of a man who'd had a weight taken off his shoulders. He looked thrilled to be passing on his good news. A 6% rise cheesed me off because I thought that was just the start. But alas or whoopee I was able to get a nice little top up below 6p today. Have not put as much in as I would on that day .... but the market is so crazy I might even get another top-up cheaper still? Have a trading pot for commission charges which cannot exceed £90 (4 x 22.50 per quarter) so piecemeal transactions are essential for a lth. I'd dump them but have money in Australian shares and not many cheap rivals allow ASX deals. Short and curlies comes to mind.

DtE I dn't think Sekaname will accept 40Mw - they said they were not interested unless it was a large contract.
With all their start up costs I can see some sense in that view.

But they should realise they are so far behind Tlou that it won't work out that way.
I never took them seriously from the start - that stance and a dodgy history elsewhere versus two successful projects from Tony Gilby who had a head, neck, shoulders and chest start just looked a no brainer from day 1.

And Tlou have contingency plans in the event the govt do not award them a decent contract.
From memory the important aspect of the award comes in finding the cost of linking into the Souther Africa grid.
If Botswana give us a contract they will partly/fully fund it else we are on our own for those costs.
So a contract is a win win and must be the preferred route. After all the mission was to sell to Botswana because they are paying through the nose on imported electricity and, imho , we could reduce those prices whilst still making a healthy return ? Once we are connected to the grid the market is wide open to expansion ans 100Mw might look small fry in a decade or two.

They brought 3 largish scooters (I am 6ft tall) and one medium size which I did not really want to test.
Blimey, it was super, very responsive in acceleration and decceleration rather like a motorbike - quite predictable.
Turning circle seemed ideal for the shops - less of a nuisance to other shoppers - and it whizzed up the hill to the rec so I take ownership tomorrow after it is checked and a brand new battery is fitted. Have requested Poppy be returned so I can have a test walk with her. Scooter is not well documented but is a Phantom made by One Rehab. It does 8mph so the dog might get more exercise than before if it works out ok. It has 12 inch wheels and travels very smoothly over grass, gravel and low kerbs etc. Will continue to use it when (hopefully) I am fit to walk methinks. It is designed to be used on rough terrains as well as the flat. Quite chuffed.

Just got through a month in hospital where I almost lost my leg after the arteries silted up in my left leg.
Only 1 of 3 is working so it could still happen but my local mobility shop is coming up with a few scooters for me try.

Lost my dog to my daughter but cannot take her out without a conveyance. So hopefully will see Poppy today or tomorrow and go for scoot!

Wow Sheps, did I make it sound that bad? I am perfectly healthy barring a numb foot which needs physio and maybe an improved blood supply. I have an ultra sound scan coming up ( to see how the blood is getting around my body with one artery working instead of 3 in the offending leg , I think)?

I have asked a local scooter dealer to bring 2 second hand units to the house so I can test them on the slope (or slopes if the first one is ok.)

They both do 8 mph (on the road by law) or 4mph (max on pavements) and are deemed to be suitable for all terrains. It can double up for shopping too and I will be able to claim I was one of the first sxx listees to buy an electric car with my profits from SXX :O)

I guess drink drive rules apply to mobility scooter drivers, if they have a driving licence?

Daughter has Poppy because I am immobile, even now for dog walks. Can walk around the house unaided or with an aid, and climb the stairs but slowly.
Sent off for new batteries for a Pride Sonic mobility scooter that has been kicking around for years from mother in law days.

Eldest son visited so got him to check the garage and outhouses for it and it looks like Liz must have dumped it?
She would not have told me - I won't dump anything in case it comes in useful.

Luckily I was early enough to cancel my ebay order and the seller has issued the refund already (slkmobility).

The rec in Corfe Mullen is only approachable via two steep hills and having fallen in hospital I dare not risk walking up or down either. Thought the scooter would get me up the less steep one so the hound can return home and go for a decent run. Now looking at the TGA BREEZE 4 which is more manly than the lost one and faster. It can climb 21degee slopes which should be ok with a bit to spare on the lesser slope. Both have good tarmac surfaces and I think I must have seen people drive up the shallower one on the road rather than pavement.

It will get me up to the shops as well but is a bit of a climb down from the motor bike eh?

If only it would drag our SP up 21 degrees .... feed up looking at 19p+ for months on end.

Like my foot SXX just needs time.
