Quote - was offered 4.704p
Exchange - could not get a price because I had to enter a limit!
I asked 4.9p and was warned it was likely to be accepted immediately.
BUT my earlier attempts to buy on exchange at 4.75 and 4.76 also had that warning and did not happen (thankfully now I got 4.725p). I'll stop there and leave you in peace.

I noticed LSE are only going to show shorters with 0.5% or above!
One has cleared 0.08% to lower than 0.5% and will therefore become anonymous?

I was surprised nobody with any sense commented on my good news post the other day.

If you are a shorter and the company dies before you square your account - you no longer can!
So the whole deal is profit (less interim payments like dividends and commissions)!
So companies clearing their shorts are in effect saying they don't expect the share to fold!
Is that Good news or delusion like some prat said?

Quote is IG terminology for OTC (over the counter) perhaps?
There is an explanation here, it is unavailable on ASX dealing, but ok FTSE so I will always use Quote to buy, (and Exchange to sell maybe, need to investigate that, it may offer better sell price too?)

On IG I just tried to spend £259.38 on TLOU/AIM
I opted for Quote rather than On Exchange! Put in a value £259.38 and was offered 5130 @ 4.725 which with my first £8 commission charge came to £250.38 - which is odd? £10 untouched? 200 shares unoffered?

I switched to Exchange and entered 5330 @ 4.75p , in error, which was queued with 4.9p as the ask price!
Amended it to 5310 @ 4.76p , confident of it going immediately! NO still queued!

Returned to Quote and entered buy with £268 + some penniesthat I cannot remember (exceeding my account balance) and was offered 5320 @ 4.725 for a total of £259.37 - a penny under my balance! Accepted that of course!

4.725p against 4.90 is going to register as a SELL for certain!

So Quote and Exchange markets probably explain the misleading buy and sell qualifiers on trades all the time.

Can anyone explain why 4.76 wasn't enough On Exchange whilst 4.725 was there for ages on Quote? I cannot.

Great to see some new faces on this very quiet board - and we have been rewarded with a mild increase on the sp with no news as far as I can tell. I cannot tick my own post so we are now the Magnificent Seven ready to take on those Comancheros :O).
Looked up Calvera, to see if Comancheros is right, after finding it is Mexican for traders!
So it is fitting as we fight day Comancheros, our worst enemies on the sp methinks.

I am going to report a message in this thread in case LSE are unaware of the fault/bug.
Unless POST MESSAGE is replaced by two rotating circles my message seems to fail most of the time.
But their appearance does guarantee success either.

If LSE return a blank form to fill in - press backarrow - maybe once maybe twice and if you get you typing back , submit it again.
I have a feeling that expanding the inbox so you can see ALL your input might trigger a failure? Without flooding the board even more than I do, I can't verify that. Two blocks usually appear before successful posts on my browser (Firefox) if they don't backarrow may work sometimes.

It only takes a minute girl, very brief but at least he is aware (from 11 minutes in).

He was right Chesh - Old Thumper is one of my favourites but it is rarely available. I once had 7 pints of Dogbolter for a liquid lunch - now that was thumping! I did no work that afternoon, except for shaking the hand of my manager at BP , I hope it was his hand. I hate to think how much I spent on booze in my London days - little did I know it was well spent compared to investing on AIM.

With the advent of electric cars and the imminent decline of petrol/diesel demand (if a decade or two is imminent), the decline of the High st retailer, and steel in the UK, you'd think potential partners for Sirius from the oil producing countries, India and China would be numerous. The number of industries with a shelf life of 100 years cannot be that high?

Has Chris Fraser thought about appearing on Dragon's Den? I want £3bn for a 10% return would be good plot for a Xmas special :O)
