It is the timing Appi, not the idea!
Once CBM is producing an income and low interest rates on secure finance, then by all means boost the company when it is safe to do so.

But to risk us going bankrupt before the project is up and running imho is madness!
We can keep alive with our CBM plans , as we are doing , for quite a few years. Survival until the good times are back is my idea of good management and so far we are!

4p is healthy compared to 1.75p but , really folks, 4p is pathetic when the price should be nearer to 11p! I despair!

If we are contemplating solar in the very near future, I worry that our security costs will soar!
Solar panels could be a target for thieves, and they look more vulnerable to damage from wild animals or vandalism. And they'll occupy a larger surface area to police as well.

I don't want TLOU to waste money proving that Solar is a false economy - and there must be reason why commercial solar isn't already commonplace (by anyone).

If we don't go bankrupt, and that looks very unlikely, this project is so under control, apart from timings, I cannot see it failing. Once there is a proven vaccine it is going to fly imho.

I don't trust the markets at all. You can have a fistful of trades within a few seconds of each other ALL AT EXACTLY the same price. Clearly all buys or all sells!

And they change the spread at a point where some trades are reversed?
Surely the spread should hold until they are all completed.
The ASX system is so much better,the price paid counts irrespective of the dodgy value of the spread, and consequently the dodgy mid point!.

There are so many deals today for a couple of quid?
Are there brokers out there who don't charge for FTSE deals?
5 of the last 8 less than £5 , and 2 of the remaining 3 were less than a £10? The biggy was £22 (MM's child?).
Are these the children of shareholders being told to empty or fill their money boxes by a parent?

Thornback, you need to revisit "Solar obviously allows for 24 hour power."
That is its drawback, it does not. So if you need an alternative, and they are all going to 24hr coverage, then why bother ssolar in the first place?

says, solar is popular with financiers, and clearly it features on price if it has CBM covering it so it does not need batteries, the other bugbear!
Talk of Solar and the existing licence for it might be used to encourage a quicker agreement.
CBM is however in Botswana and is available one day. Panels have to built and delivered from Thailand and Vietnam was it? Or China (which uses the other countries).

TG has told us what the hold up is in that RNS and it makes sense.

BPC are awaiting Govt approval , and no doubt at all, cash (Govt are suffering from covid's effect on the diamond trade). Quite rightly, TG wants a long term future with whoever we end up. We really don't want future fund raiding to be as drawn out as this one - and expansions are likely to come thick and fast (relatively) once dewatering is complete across all sites.

Govt approval requires the full support of Mr Moagi for sure, and with his Whizzdom , it appears that we can depend upon him, given time.

Imho, TLOU are pretty well unknown globally, but bucking the trend on sp may draw a few financiers attention to us. They cannot fail to be impressed with our leadership throughout this crisis. Not many companies have such a secure future. And for a start up I'd expect it to be almost a miracle? So many start ups fail when there are no major impediments, apart from their own bad bad management.

Contrary to Donk's B-side, I reckon our management are superb.

Estimate is up a bit for phase 1 , to $10m , MM might be right that solar is coming sooner than I thought.

This sentence annoys me!

Lesedi Project Site Visit – Honourable Minister Lefoko Moagi

Tlou Energy Limited was delighted to welcome Honourable Minister Lefoko Moagi, Minister of Mineral Resources Green Technology and Energy Security (MMGE) and his team to the Lesedi project. Honourable Minister Moagi has been a long-term supporter of Tlou’s project and again reiterated his support during his visit.

The visit started on Friday, 23 October 2020 in Palapye with a dinner which was also attended by the Chief from Moralane and Chief from Kodibeleng, two villages located close to the Lesedi project. The Chiefs discussed the relationship between Tlou Energy and the community and Tlou’s assistance with various programs, especially those to help create self-employment within the communities.

On Saturday morning the team visited the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) substation in Serowe where they were met by BPC’s Customer Service Manager and Regional Engineer. The entourage included the Honourable Minister’s two Deputy Permanent Secretaries, the Chiefs from Moralane and Kodibeleng, Botswana TV (BTV) crew, two journalists from the guardian and patriot newspapers and support staff from MMGE. BPC personnel briefed the Minister about the substation and confirmed that there was capacity to take the proposed 10MW and much more from Tlou Energy.

The team then drove to Tlou’s Lesedi field camp where the Minister was received by Mr Remigiyo Mavata, Tlou’s Chief Geologist & Field Manager and his team. The MMGE team received a high-level presentation covering Tlou’s project to date. The team then traveled to the Lesedi 4 production pod and saw the flare from the gas being produced from the Lesedi 4P well.

The BTV television crew interviewed Honourable Minister Moagi and Tlou Executive Director Mr Gabaake at the Lesedi 4P site. The group also visited the location of the proposed Central Processing Facility where the Tlou team outlined the generation plan.

Thereafter the team returned to the Lesedi camp. Honourable Minister Moagi made a presentation thanking Tlou Energy for the hard work which he said was clearly evident and committed that he and his team would provide the support required for Tlou Energy’s project to succeed.

Tlou Energy Limited would like to sincerely thank Honourable Minister Moagi for taking the time to visit the Company’s operations and for the continued support received from the Ministry. The Company looks forward to successfully developing the project as soon as possible and repaying the faith shown by Honourable Minister Moagi and his team.

Wow, my ISA is up on TLOU so happy days ..... if it wasn't for US Oil and Gas , and Avanti Comms.
Both still exist but don't have TG in charge of them. Both left LSE so difficult to trade unless they come good and rejoin. Bought into Avanti at £7 with pundits suggesting £23 if their satellites launched ok. Ariane has never given them a single problem but the share price is 12p! That was down to a Welshman in the early years.
An Irishman at USOP (great epic, so appropriate) is still claiming he is going to find oil in Nevada.

Closed at 7.1c (3.878p ) with my ASX average at 8.1c
My losses are down to £62 with HL is at minus £1000+ so my trading account is looking much healthier for TLOU. I might look at my ISA one of these days, if it goes on like this!

A shaggy dog story! I feed Poppy at around 5:30 each evening, and walk her early to mid afternoon.
On Saturday pm I fell asleep on the settee until it was dark and it was still bucketing down so, for the first time ever, I let Poppy out in the garden instead of walking her. Yesterday I got up early and took her out to make up for it. She did an enormous poo as soon as she was off lead, and then couldn't go again despite several tries. I vowed to never miss her walk again.
Anyway at 5pm she came over to me and gave me her paw and looked at me longingly, moving her head quizzically - I let her into the garden but she came straight back in!
And then I realised! It was 5pm on my watch but the clocks had gone back!!!! She was asking for her dinner because it was 6pm on her Rolex.

Spread is 6.4c to 7.7c now but every trade was 6.4c , so I think the last 3 sells at that price are very likely to be buys too! So it could be 700k+ in 20m.

6.4c is near as dammit 3.5p , and 77c is 4.2p , both close to the option prices of 8c (and maybe 4.4p) - I love it when both exchanges follow the same trend! It makes arbitrage less likely, with investors not using their money to make a quick buck., even if they do!

I hope the visits to the CBM sites are chalk and cheese in that order.

I was surprised to KE feature but that could be for one of two reasons.
1. KE have invited him to see something worthwhile.
2. The Minister has demanded to see what progress both KE and TLOU are making.
From this link, I don't see much to suggest 1 is the case.

Hopefully we'll get some feedback during the conference about his visits, and this is a fact finding tour to that end and for his own decision making.

A quick recap of today has made me change my mind.
The rise is not because we are as likely to succeed.
It is because our CEO has protected us from failure in the next 18 months, and an optimist can be forgiven for thinking we'll be able to extend that period if necessary.

A realist might except us to out of survival mode within 18 months - and that could easily make us one of very few comfortable investments after many companies go to the wall!
I reckon it is the realists that are buying - how I wish a few would post on here so I can concentrate on doing crosswords while my losses disappear.

I'm only £1200 down now and over a grand is from HL - I might even look at my ISA account one of these days :O( - it has a higher break even price than my IG account.

bought a few more at 3.979p - now losing £1.8k which is prettier than losing £12k a couple of weeks ago.
