Blind faith in a man who can see very clearly Whizzer?
Yes, you are correct.
My indiscretions previously MFM were simply because I trusted liars, idiots and an egotist.
Fox at HMV said profits were marginally down when they were disastrous.
Williams at Avanti saw the price rising and dumped a load to profit from it, he never had a clue and targetting African start-ups was idiotic with hindsight. Huge debt looks impossible to reverse under new management but the business should have worked.
And then Sirius which looked beyond the point of no return despite a flambuoyant CEO, Fraser, having big ideas. British Govt could have saved them with a tiny fraction of their outlay on Covid appeasements. 600M only needed to be guaranteed , they may never have needed to find a penny.
Those three experiences make me very cautious about believing CEO's and TG is being scrutinised here whenever he speaks. Not once have I seen any of the traits of the three above.
His approach is total opposite of Chris Fraser's , he has taken pay cuts galore instead of profiteering like David Williams, and I have seen anything that looks remotely like a deliberate lie.
Of course he will have made the odd mistake, he's human, he's done it before twice in our field , he's had to manage a start-up with no income throughout a pandemic and we have not looked like we are going to go bust. His crisis management has been perfect and 2 years of dewatering which is still ongoing whilst , no doubt , expecting it to take for a few months like Selemo , would have defeated most CEO's imho. We had a surprise when Mr Moagi agreed to an interim agreement. It hasn't culminated in much , if TG isn't looking at alternatives I'll be amazed.
I always thought my quotes from earlier were aimed at Botswana to encourage them to get on with it. If it is raised again , I suspect it will be a done deal! If we are impatient, I imagine the TLOU must be so close to ditching Botswana if there is an alternative. And two are possible without Botswanan support , and there could well be finance from elsewhere if we stick with BPC.
Whatever we end up with , I am not expecting TG to upset my apple cart.
