I take MM's post to mean that Orapa will want enough gas to power their own generators up to 90Mw.

I'm not going to enter in an argument with anyone who denies that heat loss is a factor in Tx lines.
Serowe to Moripule is limited to 132Kv so for TLOU to send more than 132Kv would be nearly as daft as sending two taxis each day to take one child to school. 66Kv or 132Kv were the options and economics dictated 66Kv.

Regarding heat loss - e.g. 132Kv produces a fourfold reduction in heat losses for the identical KW source.
TG's modest 2Mw reduces the current by a factor of 43.5 compared to the 97 MW as some wanted . That reduces the heat losses by a factor of 1892 - so further savings may well be neglible - further evidence of how the man thinks perhaps?

Ultimately I reckon 500Kv+ across huge pylons bypassing Serowe is likely. Will that be under TG? I'd like to think so but he could be non-exec Chairman by then. That route SW could be rejuvenated?

Many thanks DTE, Ebay have confirmed what you say and told me she has not paid yet, no worries after an hour or two.
They'll remind her within 48 hrs if needed and provided a check list (includes print name and address label :O) ) - so they are looking after me well.

Just looked up advfn to see what Mopanetree said that was so inspiring, and could not believe what I saw!
Donk is posting there again, cheerio from here we hope, and he has only paid for premier status or whatever they call it!

You'll all see how you can get obsessed with his rubbish and feel obliged to shoot him down. He has never realised I simply read everything TLOU publish, looking for the irregularities I have experienced with my failed shares. The only bits that caused me any concern had mitigating circumstances that nobody foresaw.

In his posts to Advfn, Donk refers to "pre-drilling tosh" and supposes they failed to drill in the optimum spot!

We should all know, and most LTHs do I am sure, that where they drilled was waterlogged and that water has taken ages to dewater (a mitigating fact for me)! BUT we know that lots of water is a great indicator of lots of gas to come! Like most TLOU issues they are very well explained by the company in everyday language - only a fool would not comprehend the issues.

The other issues, were the Govt screw up on the RFP which needed both preferred bidders to re-apply - no fault on either of them , and Covid - the same!!!! All 3 issues cost the project time - and most criticism on here relates to that! Only Donk accused our board of lying - in my book abhorrent behaviour from an idiot. I hope his credibility is shot on both boards by now - rip Kenner, mrmoagi,oldbailllie,donkey40 and bucklerfern!!

Mopanetree took my post on here about our gas being wet (dewatering?) seriously, despite the smiley , - more evidence of comprehension problems - with this post ...... mindblowing that it received acclaim as being knowledgeable ?? .....

And that looks sensible as it is the one that is closest (100Km Tx instead of 149Km for pipeline) and (Lesedi #3 thru #5 underway afaik, no Solar agreements yet, not in the pipeline :O) ).

What a strange presentation from Proactive - I assume Colm does not have any of the new fangled online chat apps (or his kids were using the computer :O)). It looks like a precis of a phone-call!

So Botswana Govt is still considered stable, and Eskom prefer to provide Botswana with power because they are more likely to be paid (at a higher unit price than S.A. pay, if things have not changed).

Good news though, I'm sure Colm is more careful about predicting the future nowadays - just hope anonymous author has quoted him correctly and not input his own feelings!

I think it is possible that our learned friend was subscribed at ADVFN because he was too dumb to realise he only needed to sign up to post - no subscription. And why couldn't he read LSE? Could be my farewell post as I don't plan to pay upcoming subscription renewal. Pointless as Tlou isn't going anywhere fast for 2021 - lots of negotiations to get a contract. LSE posts have hit an all time low today, led by TG bum boy, BradSmith. He really needs lockdown to get over so he can reconnect with people in real life rather than online.
They really want to talk about why the share price is not moving given recent developments and news. Instead all Brad can do is focus on Donk, the only guy that consistently for 3+ years criticised everything Tlou and its A-hole promoters had to say.

I echo Burrito's thoughts, but MM why are you talking about flaring for 2 years whilst Selemo has been in production for 5 years? I don't know if the Selemo flare is still going or whether all the gas is being fed into the generastor (which seems extremely likely). If there weren't royalties to pay on Selemo gas production, I think we'd have enough gas from there by now for 10Mw.

Lesedi is hopefully royalty free so will be more profitable in the long run.
If Donk had his way, we'd be drilling vertical wells because lateral wells cost too much!

I'm expecting funding to be announced soon after Orapa do the inevitable and award us the pipeline project. May 25th at the earliest, is it? Not long to wait but the pipeline is for much more gas than the piddly 10Mw PPA needs and I reckon funders will be up for that!

Will the funding include a bit towards solar so the Tx lines will have some electricity to feed to Serowe? Tlou are playing a blinder, 10Mw might be bottom of the heap of options, or still at the top, the options are amazing.

Another thought? Did Tlou only want 10MW or less in the PPA so they'd be available to go for the Orapa deal?

KE have got to find enough commercial gas for 97Mw and then Orapa will be additional?
Economy of scale for KE will be enormous :O)
TG has so much choice for his priorities -and I don't think that was by accident!

Imvho, the timing of the tendering process reflects Orapa's opinion of when CBM might be available in Botswana?
How did they form that opinion? Well they have been using generators that could have requested CBM for years but they stayed with diesel, for obvious reasons! Somebody has tipped them off that the times they are a changing and it was not Bob Dylan! I have a list of two or three, unless Orapa have appointed a new employee who has inside information?

Most likely they have been following the news of the two preferred bidders and decided one or both can meet their schedule.

DTE I think Tony was quoted on Red hot penny shares (Tom Bulford) as having invested $28m in TLOU!
It is the sort of thing I don't forget and was a part of the story that attracted me to put my hard-earned into TLOU.

It is also why claims he is living off TLOU , instead of getting it off the ground , angers me so much. His salary (and he is on 50% of it) is peanuts compared to his investment in time and money? Tom may have got it wrong, and I may have got it wrong, but I only saw a copy of the papers , I was not a subscriber.

Tony turned his back on Australian CBM because it was becoming too regulated, costly and saturated so the supply and demand curve did not command the likely returns in Botswana, with less red tape and hardly any competition plus neighbours who were next door, not across oceans!

I did a refresh and it worked? Then I clicked on #tlouenergy and was amazed. Just about the whole history of TLOU with video links all in one place. I have avoided social media but this ancient iMac has a 24" screen which improves twitter massively.

I went back to Selemo dated 2016 and there is a map ..... so much bigger than I expected ..... I thought the scale was going to be in metres but it is for 5-10 Km (I think, it is fuzzy with my new glassses).
