The only credible criticism of Tlou comes from them producing timescales that could not be met because of unexpected outside forces (govt tardiness , excess water at Lesedi and Covid).

They (Colm in particular) will not make that mistake again because they are older and wiser.
Imho, we are stagnating until due diligence is completed, funding is agreed, and Covid lockdown allows Botswana and Australia to fully open for business. Only then can Tlou estimate a time-scale and everyone should be fully aware by now that the virgin dewatering at Lesedi and Mamba is not possible to estimate! They put in strategically placed wells at Selemo to shorten the dewatering process, Covid has denied us that opportunity at Lesedi. TG is is doing all he can, but the G in TG is not God.

Thornback, where can you see a time-scale mentioned for Hydrogen?

I'm pretty certain MM and I don't expect it to be a priority over CBM and Solar unless it suddenly becomes an outstanding simple method of producing power. If TLOU ignore Hydrogen completely they'd miss that opportunity so why not look at it? Until Covid let's us get back to working flat-out on CBM why not? Hydrogen generators produce water and heat and electricity - if the water is pure (I dunno that) there is no waste - Volvic look out! Carlsburg look out - heat + water = beer production?

Amazon could still be selling books - and their shareholders would still be happy not knowing what they are missing.
Options won't depress the share-price - more options , more incentives for multinationals tp look at us, at some unknown time.

My piddly 8153 went through as a sell instead of a buy. It means I got a reasonably good price I s'pose but it was only to save over 60% on my commissions for May.

Once the options reach their target price I don't think we'll ever see the option price again. And funding will follow the d/d report as long as it is favourable - which I'm taking for granted. If you are correct, it contributes to us not being able to trade online and being requested to telephone our brokers to take them.

N.B. There is no need for anybody to rush into buying them before July 2022. I'm doing it to make sure I help TLOU with cash that goes to them rather than the public i.e. everyday trading. It saves me putting instructions in my will or talking to my boys in a negative way so they don't let them lapse if I lose my marbles or worse.

Hydrogen , solar and CBM ARE SMART MOVES not was!!!!
I was brought up to not speak ill of the dead, after no posts from anyone yesterday, following two by you, I thought you'd taken the hint. None of us did, we hoped. I hate people who speak for other people - but I think it is safe to say nobody wants you here!

I nearly forgot to keep my frequent trader commission rate, so sold 16 HL shares , and bought over 8000 TLOU shares with the proceeds. Is there commission charged on OPTIONS/WARRANTS? PLACINGS are paid for by TLOU I think, but somehow I do not think O/W will be. TLK?

This is the first time I have had options - I did not think Joe Public was ever offered them , just directors and top shareholders?

Hydrogen message struck a chord because days before the Quarterly report I was watching a report on cars and the presenter thought electricity power was likely to be replaced by hydrogen (and something else that I cannot remember, maybe solar?) .

The great thing for me is TG has kept every option available to us. We can drop solar at zero cost, or concentrate on solar and delay cbm (which won't happen because of the Orapa prispects), but that would not cost much either.

It is nothing short of incredible. Sirius kept adding hugely expensive add-ons ALL OF WHICH WERE VITAL and so expensive they went bust because there was nothing that could be dropped to make it feasible short term.

Surely people can see why TG excites me after that experience? So much fresh air , that wind turbines could be added to options. That was a joke for those with no soh!

The Minister said there are two companies producing Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Gas, which are Kalahari Energy and Tlou Energy.These companies have done the drilling in different areas and did all the tests which showed that there is gas that can be produced. What is left is to do a pilot project of commercialing this gas to put it in the grid to give Batswana electricity. There is considerable demand for CBM to play a significant role in future power generation in Botswana in pursuit of energy security and optimising the energy mix. The Government is highly supportive of new energy projects."

This paragraph , from 2011 , shows the importance of getting CBM into a pipeline to Orapa.
We have 149Km to negotiate , and I tried to see how far it is for Sekaname.

Getting their news is next to impossible but KEB are said to be in the central Kalahari region, where you'll find GHanzi.

609 Km - Distance from Ghanzi to Orapa would put them at a huge disadvantage compared to Tlou if that is anywhere near the distance they need to cover. It was a surprise, if right , I thought they were north of Lesedi and could be much closer to Orapa than Mamba. TG certainly has choices. The new funder is based in Botswana , Orapa is too , I wonder where the money might originate from? Gold perhaps?

4.45p compares well with current value of 8c which is 4.49p
I always wondered how 8c would translate into pence ,with the concensus being 2.2p (placing was 4c) X 2 = 4.4p
So will all brokers settle on 4.45p is my next thought? Does not matter to me but TLK might have to cancel that last pint one day.

On IG , I'd reached my ISA deposit limit at the time of the placing so I asked IG to handle that placing from my nominee account and my optionsended up there too and are listed as

They show AU as sp of $0.0001 given me a tiny profit in my portfolio, but LSE show at 3p - a considerable amount even if it is in the bush!

PD, Covid still has work on gas flows locked down, so we are in in survival mode (financially speaking) . It is not an issue, imho , the gas is there and isn't going anywhere soon (double entendre there) but that will change once the guys get the water out with new relief wells.

TG is doing the logical things! He is organising tx lines to Selemo , which will not be wasted if dewatering takes too long for our finances. If there is a crisis he will clearly switch to Solar as an absolute priority to start earning revenue. Eventually Mamba or Lesedi will give up their gas and we'll be back on course for the next few decades. Literally a pipe dream? But a very real one.

As ever, I put my faith in TG's word.
He states that funding from the new source is pending a positive due diligence report and I think it is then a done deal.
What deal? Imho phase 1 immediately and a phase 2, 3 etc implied agreement because that is what I think TG has been seeking from the GOVT , and was prepared to wait for that long term security.

I also wonder if he still favours the GOVT deal but is as tired as the rest of us waiting for the broody govt to start laying!
If it was not TG, I'd be doubting whether the new funder was just bait to make the BG move
But he could have tried that approach many years ago, but did not, because imho he would not cheat his victim!
I have little doubt that BG will not make an offer it in time and if the new funder clears the funds, then TG will honour that agreement.

He has vowed to look after shareholders, and I am perfectly happy that he has done his best to honour that. Probably because I'd have done everything he has if I was clever enough (which I very much doubt).
He has kept us alive where many would have thrown in the towel years ago. And our future looks more promising now than it ever did, pipeline, solar, hydrogen and the old faithful CBM power! So refreshing after Sirius's demise where everything went the other way!

The point is that funding is not the be all and end all - unless KE are doing OK and are keeping it quiet. Everybody agrees there is more than enough demand for 2 or more companies, TG said that from the start.

Imho the only people making money from CBM are the assessors! Assessing CBM is a secondary gold mine in Botswana.

Winni, KE/Sekaname have funding, if you were able to invest in them (they are not a public company) , how would you feel about selling your TLOU shares and buying into Sekaname?

Winni, Tlou are doing all they can - they are talking to the body that is waiting for due diligence reports, and it looks positive subject to getting a clean bill of health there!
As Appi says, Tlou have suffered from a poor Govt which is extremely ironic given they chose Botswana over Australia for this project because there is too much Govt interference in Oz (and other reasons).

Imho, the apparent lack of progress at Sekaname is hindering us too! If they were more advanced the Govt would feel very secure about TLOU's future.

But those timelines are down to third parties Appi.
We have a new backer who is seeking due diligence reports - the basis of them being able to fund us? - they did due diligence in acquiring their wealth.

And as for the GOVT ,

which beggars belief! I wonder how much the Govt is paying those advisors? More or less than the loan for Phase1?
I know success will open the path for future phases and , on the positive side , work is under way and TLOU be able to answer their questions , probably for the third or more time?

I'd argue our problem is that Tlou produced estimates based on common sense which the Govt don't have.
Lefoko possibly advised TLOU not realising what he had above him - senior ministers covering their backsides from the anti-corruption brigade, plus Covid delays on just about everything.
