RE: Another IQ test18 Apr 2021 22:02
I thought of you Py, but did not want you to feel obliged to try it out.
I scored 90 too but they deducted 10 off that to make it 80! Time penalties, because I was over an hour having fitted in breakfast half way through! They say relax take yoir time!
Scored 90 again , on the rerun , I couldn't decide between r and t for the reverse of gg so I put r first time, and t second time! It was s one character up or down but no way of being sure which way?
Did you make the 1095 digits page 402? I spent ages on that one, pages 1 to 99 with both one and two characters was the problem. 1 to 9 =9 ,10 to 99 is 180 , 100 to 402 is 906 totalling 1095 but is it? 101 to 402 might be 906 too? And 10 to 99 or 11 to 99 is 180, if you see what I mean. Horrorshow! I think it might be 400?
I also corrected my bullet answer and sent them this because I answered "do not know" first time round. I thought the answer they required was 2 because 1 and 3 were in their options.........
"The possible answers you offer are ridiculous on this question.
I calculated 18 starting bullets, to leave them with 2 each or 6 in total. My mistake , and it made "unknown" an active option elsewhere!
As 12 bullets were fired , 1,3 and 6 are impossible starting numbers - so I selected “none” thinking you wanted the answer 2, because of 1 and 3 as answers!
Two possible answers >12, and only one is a multiple of 3 so most of that question is a waste of time!
You also say relax and take your time , which I did , having breakfast mid-way through the test, and I had 10 deducted."
Part I
Question 18/26
Three soldiers were patrolling the jungle.
Two of them, while crossing a swamp, got their cartridge cases wet.
The three soldiers divided what good cartridges remained, equally.
After each had fired four shots, the total cartridges remaining were equal to the number each had after the division.
How many cartridges were divided?
