I've sold some of my holdings in BP recently, just to hedge, you understand. I sleep easier at night now ......

Of course BP adds a small complication with the divi. It's paid in $ so there is a calculation to be made, at a certain date, to declare the £ value.

Can't remember the exact date, but if you go for £0.0410 you won't be far out.

Enso, there are 3 dates, that are being talked about here,

1 The Announcement day. (sometimes called the “declaration day” is the day on which a company’s board of directors announces its next dividend payment.

2 Results Day. The day a company gives specific trading details (and often details of any divi details)

3 EX Divi Day. The day you must hold to qualify for a divi.

Swapping out batteries is a common practise in China I believe. Something to do with all those high rise apartments, and lack of chargers.

Post New years Eve (31/12) BP has risen from £3-31 to £3-94, that's 9 trading days.

£4 ? bring it on ........ Sooner rather than later.

Having said that, why stop there ? (because it won't)

This share is on the rise, I won't speculate, what's the point ?

Just sit back, and enjoy the rise.

Auction results are to be announced tomorrow. Anyone know if BP are in the bag ? I've seen that Shell are, but can't find any details on BP.

So, what you are asking is, can this share reach 43% increase from today ? You go figure .....
