Yes, I know what you mean, except the returns seem to be higher. They are saying that if you invest £1700, you get back £275 (every year) That's a return of 16% (or am I reading it wrong ?) and it could be higher, as prices rise.

retirment, I think I know where you are coming from, I've just done a quick calculation, the FTSE100 is down 2.46% since january 2022.

Have you got your decimal dot in the wrong place ?

Sorry retirment, you said on the RR board, and I quote " the FTSE and DOW have dropped 25% who know what it will drop to in % wise going forward".

I track the FTSE100 every day, and it's nowhere near your 25% drop, can you help me understand ?

I'm sitting on a very healthy profit. Given the short term, things are looking good. I'm more than happy to hold (nothing left to buy with though (sadly) although I shouldn't, got mare than my fair share invested

Interesting that if (and at the moment it doesn't seem to be that big an "if") Iran starts to produce again, Saudi will reduce their output, to match theirs, thereby keeping the status quo. (which is nice)

Panic over, it's working again.......

Sorry guys, I need help. Over the past few years, I have imported the H&L FTSE100 website FTSE100 into excel (2016) and then adapted the data to suite my needs. This afternoon, it seem this link no longer works (thanks to H&L) I can go to it via my browser (MS Edge) but it won't allow excel to import it any more (say's it 2not compatable)

My question is, does anyone else download the FTSE100, from another site ?

I have found 1, buts it's spit across 5 pages, my old one was a single page, which made life so much easier.

Any help much appreciated.
