Addicknt - I'm merely saying that was the part of Quady's view I was advocating. I can't speak for anyone else, but I did believe, and still do, that Mather won re-election in line with the company's constitution. That, to me, is undeniable fact.
I don't remember seeing anything to suggest the lobbying was the course of normal investor relations (it clearly wasn't), nor did I label anything a triumph. My point was simply that every share carries an equal vote and there was no notion that Nick needed 50% of the votes excluding his own.
That said, what followed, followed. Those who painted the AGM as a disaster were keen to draw the linkage between the two events. I simply maintained that Nick became a casualty of fraught relations which had came to a head at the AGM, and having had a quick look at my posting history around that time, I'm happy that's what my stance was.
