In all likelihood he'll remain a NED for another 12 months unless something changes in the coming days with the AGM resolutions, in which case you can't be suggesting that removing a NED is going to be a dramatic share price catalyst? That would be wishful thinking in the extreme.

The reality is that the market wouldn't bat an eyelid at the company doing small to medium JV deals on lower priority land packages that didn't throw up the most promising leads from the first pass campaign.

Some brokers done communicate AGM resolutions and only get involved when there's an EGM going on. Not great service but they seem happy enough offering it.

Just worth bearing in mind next time there's an AGM for any stock that you want to vote on.

Re the stock split I'd be shocked if we didn't get the materials for that next week, assuming it gets approved at the AGM.

I don't remember seeing anything to suggest the lobbying was the course of normal investor relations (it clearly wasn't), nor did I label anything a triumph. My point was simply that every share carries an equal vote and there was no notion that Nick needed 50% of the votes excluding his own.

That said, what followed, followed. Those who painted the AGM as a disaster were keen to draw the linkage between the two events. I simply maintained that Nick became a casualty of fraught relations which had came to a head at the AGM, and having had a quick look at my posting history around that time, I'm happy that's what my stance was.

SOLG have been up front all along that they're not courting M&A, so surely you'd have to factor that in as being one less route to short term share price appreciation. If it's going to happen it's going to either require a hostile attempt or the company delivering a number of deliverables over time, which hasn't really happened as quickly as many expected.

Please don't take this the wrong way but maybe you need to refine your strategy to focus on the Cornerstone's and the Regulus' of this world or at the other end of the spectrum chase discovery related spikes.

There's plenty of work to do after that, starting with producing the minutes and then moving to picking up any action points both internally and externally with the third party consultants.

Now is the time to say BHP, and any other potential suitor, get in the trenches with us and slug this out. Pay a reasonable sum for this company if you want us to move on. Otherwise, shut your cakeholes and we carry on.

Investor fatigue and stale trading bulls is the enemy of true long term holders.

One final push is what is required now.

Why would Newcrest get any deeper? They wouldn't. They have their pipeline. SolGold is nothing but an investment to them and one they'll expect a return on.
