You don't do block listings for previous raises because the shares have already long been admitted.

To my mind, this is the company saying it has applied to print a further 205m shares, shares they expect to arise from warrants yet to be exercised and directors options yet to be exercised.

The question to be asked is whether we are soon to see an event that puts us into warrant conversion territory. The blocklisting will likely save all the small RNS' where they confirm someone has exercised £20k worth of warrants.

Red, it seems people are wanting to ask the same questions once or twice a week, maybe in the hope of expectation of hearing a different answer.

If this is part of their governance roadshow I'd suggest showing some interest in the independent directors. What initiatives are they involved in at the moment and what do their diaries look like for the next 6 months.

Same for Keith. What role is envisioned for him at the business once a permanent CEO is appointed? We obviously need his expertise whilst we continue to be an enitity and hopefully SOLG have considered how best to utilise his skills.

You could ask what the macro picture signifies for the SOLG the next 12 months. What do the board think about BHP/Noront not to mention the other projects in Ecuador that are getting onto our coattails...that first mover advantage is eroding.

This is an opportunity to get them to make some forward looking statements. Between those and thair motives for the roadshow there should be a few hints to glean. I'd stray away from asking the same questions that anyone could email IR with.

I agree with rcgl2's comment earlier. I just can't see anything groundbreaking at this AGM. We know what the position is on the pre-emption rights and BHP/NCM won't back down on that because they'll want their portion of the Cascabel construction equity package in a couple of years time. Aside from that the AGM should be the usual re-appoint fringe directors, re-appoint auditor, approve remuneration etc.

If you were top dog at BHP CD, when would you invest?

1. At what is perceived by many to be a market top?

2. Once those asleep at the wheel have crashed everything sufficiently that investments are at bargain prices?

And therein lies your answer.

Number 1 would have a much larger effect.

When a significant discovery was made at Porvenir/Cacharposa the share price rose from 28p to 44p (60%/£300m).

Were a Rio or a Barrick to sign up to an earn in on a project that falls outside of our priority dozen you can be sure that the milestones will be in the £25-50m region.

The only way it results in a larger increase than a discovery on a 100% owned property is if the market really gets aroused, and I just can't see that happening.

Don't forget that the earn-in GGP did with Newcrest followed their own discovery at Havieron, their flagship project at that time. They subsequently did a JV on Juri and the reaction in comparison was muted.

DBW - I hear what you say but personally I don't anticipate any competition here to BHP.

People have talked about Barrick, Rio etc etc for years and those companies are on record for wanting more copper exposure, yet where are they?

To Grim and those talking about glacial speed progress, I don't think that's completely fair. This is one of the largest projects in development and the largest not in the hands of a major, and therefore you have to expect a pace slower than you would with a major miner who has done this before. If you want something done quicker then go and buy the shares of a major. You know by doing so that you are reducing your potential upside.

If we assume SOLG publish the PFS by early January at the latest and the DFS by the end of next year then we could be ready to raise finance in 2023 and begin construction with potential first production in say 2026. 11-12 years from first discovery hole to first production with both a global pandemic and an acrimonious change of CEO in the middle would be a FANTASTIC achievement by a junior.

This share has become the frustrating hold that it is because people are only happy to bash it and the company's officers. I know I've said this before but if anyone is no longer glass half full about their investment then maybe it's time to review new opportunities and reallocate cash.

Quady, I know you and Addicknt haven't seen eye to eye since virtually say dot but let's not be completely dismissive.

He's clearly a knowledgeable chap and clearly an experienced person in the industry. I know this having a finance background myself.

A lot of the arguments he has made down the months and years have been sound in basis. I haven't always agreed with them either but I've found it hard to fault them anecdotally.

But SOLG have done things their own way. We know that a number of major shareholders grew disgruntled at various strategies and initiatives.

We have reason to think and belive SolGold are now being more co-operative. But where is the evidence?

Another institutional shareholder feels the need to write an open letter questioning the company. Frankly pathetic. You don't see this too often in the corporate world.

SolGold have been under immense pressure to sell Cascabel or the company since it became apparent that a significant resource had been discovered, in the main by less patient shareholders who had bought in anticipating a different ending to the story, and ending that as yet has not transpired.

Ultimately I can see disappointment with the final result when it does become known. Expectations are being tapered, and probably for sound reasons. I fear that holding SOLG won't be worth it for a lot of investors, mainly because of the journey others have pushed us along.

Berry Street really ought to get back in their box. I find their letter weak and antagonistic.

Correct but that was almost 4 years ago now. The statement you pointed to a good 5 years go.

Investors have seen 40 odd pence on three or four separate occasions since then. Plenty of time to reassess and alight if they had lost stomach for the fight, would you not say.

Another problem is that many investors have been transfixed on a change of control at a substantial premium, hence not selling. The company isn't responsible for that element of the story which has been overtold. Investors have themselves to blame.

Yes, things got slightly strained as both partners ultimately stood their corner during the attempt to merge and really it would have been naive to expect little else.

Towards the end of the last tenure and during this we have undoubtedly seen a shift in news frequency. No longer are the announcements hole by hole or the regionals their own dedicated release, but instead the news is packaged together for larger but more occasional releases.

That has been a change of stance and it's one investors have come to expect, so I don't think anyone should try and hold the company to previous standards (not saying you are).

In the last 4-6 weeks we've had a Tandayama release, a Porvenir release, a Rio Amarillo release and a Sharug release. We've had the annual filings that ties everything together.

The CEO should become known soon and then we're in the realms of material drill results and studies, I would think.

The share price went from 1p in 2016 to 46p in 2017 and has since provided swings to the upside in excess of 100% on more than one occasion. That suggests to me that the company has impressed the market with it's communication, but hey let's have a silly argument instead of looking at the facts.

The obfuscation i referred to was over one matter concerning a bid to acquire the minoriry partner djring a period of less than satisfactory relations between the two. Let's not try and make it sound like a consistent approach by the company.

ToS1963 - might i respectfully suggest that when the company made that statement it was writing cheques that were not ready to cash. It was mid-euphoria of a huge discovery in an underexplored jurisdiction.

Before the onset of Covid-19 we had MRE 1,2 and 3 and a steer on metallurgy. Much had been completed from a resource delineation and produce evalution point of view. This was with the national government being less than helpful in some respects and the locals lodging objdctions in the constitutional courts.

Instead of going ahead with those plans in a rush they took stock (metaphorically), they carried out a full review of PLs and they secured 70+ based on their own findings and blueprint.

I for one am glad they did. Anyone who favoured the "pack it and flog it" strategy really had a decision to make then and should live by that now.

That said i fully expect Alpala PFS by early Jan and Cascabel DFS by end of 2022. Porvenir PEA and PFS started by the same timeframe.

2022 has to be the year those two projects jump forwards.

Did they communicate regularly and to good effect between 2014 and 2019? Yes
Is the company available to any respectful investor? Yes.
Has the company continued to appear at various international conferences and other events? Yes.

This whole charade about SOLG being in the dumps has to stop. Stop looking at GGP, coattailing Newcrest in what is relatively mining heaven.

SolGold has re-commissioned the board of directors, made a second significant discovery that is almost resource statement ready (Porv), brought together a satellite discovery towards resource status, virtually selected a new CEO and is now exploring other regional prospects all while completing the Alpala PFS.

There's loads of potential news to drop and drop it will when it's ready.

I hold a couple where the CEO and senior managemwnt likes to talk the talk. I hold SOLG. I hold another company that hasn't released a merial RNS in nearly 6 months.

Investing just based on the potential for blaring newsflow isn't in my view the right way to go. You buy the companies that are cheapest and create a portfolio of different opportunities.

This is the problem. People hang off every word ghat a CEO or IR makes and then stomp around when a different path is taken.

Besides, since when are they deadlines? They're anticipated timeframes, in some cases based on many critical moving parts.

Investing isn't like delegating a piece of work to a subordinate, nor is it like selling your house. The quicker that is digested and accepted the better, we can all move on.

I say that because a lot of the negative sentiment around SOLG is driven by investors who try and manage the company from the end of a phone line or a messaging device.
