Update: I3 Energy
It is often trouble that comes in threes at small-cap stocks (or even large-cap ones for that matter) but, pleasingly, the opposite appears to hold true oil and gas producer I3 Energy.
December's production update suggests aggregate output from the Canadian and North Sea fields continues to surprise; oil and gas prices remain firm; and as of last week the company is committing to monthly dividend payments. The targeted £11.8m total payout for 2022 equates to just over 1p a share, for a forward yield of 6.4pc.
The story is heating up nicely. Keep buying.

The article could be expectation management. But then, so close to an RNS, you’d want to be guarded to avoid a run away market. Or avoid the issue of Serenity as much as possible by moving the topic to Liberator.
So expectation management or avoidance of revealing imminent RNS content. I’d say the latter. Why March the troops to the bottom of the hill with “pretty optimistic” only to march them back up with “announce something quite soon”.
But wtfdik
I'm not sure OPEC wants the price up too much because of demand destruction.
"Demand destruction is the permanent or prolonged loss of demand for a product or service due to a sudden and sustained increase in its price. This demand destruction can be caused by consumers switching to more desirable alternatives or simply because they cannot afford it anymore."
They also don't want US fracking and shale oil starting up again and eating their lunch.
Why don't you guys just sell up and start over with a better share.
ADV was a one shot play. Like putting all your money on number 24 in Roulette.
I3E on the other hand is an undervalued oil/gas play with multiple producing wells and exploration properties in Canada and the North Sea. Because of it's large portfolio, no one 'well' will make it, no one 'well' will break it. They are rolling in so much cash they're giving away a handsome dividend (always a marker of a viable company). Operational update soon.
Always best to diversify, but if you were to invest in just one oil/gas company, that'd be the one.
Just saying...DYOR
Mystic Mug i3e horoscope for tomorrow:
The disappointing performance of a cherished project will end as the Sun aligns with Mars. You will receive a message from across the sea that will boost your wealth but empty your wallet. You find it difficult to engage with your work as you spend most of your day checking your iPhone to the dismay of colleagues, and your boss. Loved ones are mystified by your sudden interest in the price of oil and great knowledge of oil drilling.
Primary reservoir was lower than expected and net oil column not yet confirmed.

Seems the market has JUMPED to an emotional conclusion based on fear and negative pumping. But at this SP, the risk reward is highly attractive.
Shorters getting anxious. I'm looking forward to ADV's appraisal RNS. Reckon there'll be a few bears with blow-torched fingers after that.
Let's hope they get a different team logging the new seismic!
Clearly not a lot of people know that............. yet!
They could easily redrill a section at an angle IMO, but they need a valid seismic.
My take is that the oil is down there but they missed it.
Can't find any interviews. This was posted on ADVFN though.. Pretax
------------
"Wireline logging results will be used to determine the reservoir properties (porosity, net to gross) and to confirm a net oil column," Advance Energy said.
"The information to date indicates that the seismic processing techniques employed on this project have not resolved the underlying seismic velocities or imaging resolution issues that are present in this field," it added.

Sounds to me like they ain't finished yet!
